Anything more than iron?

Is there a set level to getting more than just iron? All I'm finding around is iron ore, and there only ever seems to be iron weapons and appearance for sale. Is there a certain level in blacksmithing or in general that I have to be before I start finding better ore or I can start crafting better weapons? If this has already been asked, I apologise in advance - I looked around and couldn't find anything reliable to what I wanted to ask.

EDIT: Ignore the whole only iron weapons for sale. Noob move, but I didn't even notice the certain level requirements for buying higher weapons from the weaponsmith. The whole ore thing still stands though.

You will only find iron deposits in 90% of your first zone (level 1-14), then there will be higher level materials to mine.

Is there a certain place they'll show up, because I'm a level 16 now, and still only finding iron around. Or do you mean the blacksmithing level?

You will find others as you travel to other lands following the quests , each material is scaled to the level of the area .

It's worth noting that you should still mine all nodes, regardless of ore type as the refining process will providing crafting materials including tempers.
