A More PVE-friendly Cyrodil

Some things that would improve PVP and probably make it much more enjoyable for the PVE crowd.

1. Make tv stones unlootable. It can be upsetting to run IC for two hours and then to have one ridiculous OP sorceror take 80% of your spoils.
2. Something needs to be lootable in tv stones' stead, so make it armor/weapons/gold. Players would have a 50% chance to loot a piece of your armor, your weapon, or your gold. Your equipped armor/weps should be lootable also, but maybe at a (slightly) lower chance of success.
3. Nerf DKs, since they sometimes kill other classes.
4. Make transition zones to and from safe areas more traveler-friendly. No one likes getting ganked as soon as they enter a zone.
5. Make it easier to remain in stealth in IC. If players in IC were able to attack from stealth and remain stealthed while in combat mode it would be easier for PVEers to survive.

Just my humble 2-cents on how we can make IC more accessible for all players.

So you can't come to terms with losing TV stones, but you are cool with losing pieces of gear?

    3. Nerf DKs, since they sometimes kill other classes.

In that case we should nerf every class. Cause they too sometimes kill other classes.

Honestly from what I've seen the Tel Var stones are the least interesting thing to loot in IC. The trophies seem better as you will pick up the weapon/jewelry sets in the vaults they open. The special items such as motifs and the crafting materials seem better than what you can buy with the stones.

Think about this this way. You tried it for 15 instead of spending 30 for it.

The game's central concept of "PvP in PvP areas and be safe in safe areas" needs to stay the way it is.

Just make it how it was in UO ... *everything* is lootable unless insured (costly). This way, everyone wins, including ZOS, as you can monetize "insurance scrolls" in the Crown Store. Also make it so that you can use AP to buy insurance, as there's really not much point to AP currently.

    Some (random) thoughts:
    • This concept may be difficult to implement given the "BoE" nature of gear; perhaps make it so that kill looting serves as a flag reset trigger.
    • Insurance needs to cost enough to be meaningful, but not overly expensive such that no one would be able to afford it. Perhaps make insurance "scale" in the same way that crafting does (e.g., by material tier, such that insuring low-level items wouldn't be the same cost as insuring your VR16 Molag Kena stuff).
    • Legerdemain passives could defray a percentage of the insurance cost (e.g., serves as a discount).
    • Insurance would work on a per-item basis.
    • Items that can be stacked cannot be insured (including TV stones). That said, lower the percentage of what is lost on a per-kill basis to 25%.

And if you really want to take a dent out of zerging ... implement friendly-fire FFS.

My immediate thought...Way to go bro, awesome sarcastic post...then...I wasn't so sure.

    1. Bank more often.
    2. Umm...can you imagine the crying if someone lost their epic gear? TV stones are the easiest thing in your inventory to replace the way I see it.
    3. Whatever bro.
    4. We already have this in IC.
    5. Umm...you want to be able to be in combat and still stealth...if you can do it, they can do it to you. Just think about that for a second.

I think now would be a great time for PvE players to get into Cyrodiil and do their Skyshard/Lorebook hunting... because other players are busy in Imperial City, they most likely aren't lurking in Cyrodiil delves waiting to gank innocent PvE players. ;)

Exactly. For someone who is wearing calicinium helm of magicka itd be no big deal. But if someone got my engine guardian helm that I struggled so long to get a heavy for my tank for Id be pissed. And they'd be pretty miffed if it stayed bound to my account. Lol.

I like all of your ideas except #6 and also, player gear should be full drop like it is in Minecraft and H1Z1. If you die you lose all your stuff.

    Sooooooo..

You want a more PVE friendly PVP zone?
Does anyone else see the problem here?

I mean PvE has 21 zones to quest in not including all of the dungeons..

Yet PvP people only have one huge playground... Why change that?

So I'm starting to see that ppl like the content but don't like it's PvP nature.
Maybe this would best fit into PvE but the TelVar and such would need to be there in all of Cyrodil and not just Imperial City.

The adjustments to make this better would cause it not to be DLC tho so it seems the decisions to make it fall into DLC are causing poor overall experiences where son love some parts and hate others.

It's a PvP thing tho so yeah....in PTS I had a few concerns but ultimately realized it's a DAOC version of Darkness falls with poor implementation due to the DLC model
