they took away the 8% cost reduction and gave heavy attacks a buff of 600ish mana back, wich pretty much made the 5th set useless lol

    fits the big picture !!!

You need to grind more CP to compensate with Magician & Arcanist, the Cost reduction & increased Magicka Recovery perk, for the nerfs in the sets
is done all over the place this patch
and looking at the generosity of Mag & Stam Recovery in the new armor and Jewelry sets, this could be the trend

and, BTW, I support this balancing... although I would prefer smaller steps... less risk to overlook side effects

so, you know what to do:
    grinding CP, grinding Compensation Points

    to be continued....

Yep pretty much, all these nerfs which make VR16 gear what VR14 gear was last week is just to get people to buy the DLC, spend more money on exp scrolls, and push people into champion points...

Forget about the broken lfg tool or the unbalanced champion system or increasing two pointless vet levels people get within a day and was suppose to be a system they were dropping eventually....let's just nerf all the VR12-14 and crafting sets....then give you a way to get it all back again by grinding champion points or VR 16 sets...just to get back to how it was "last week"...

Gear sets should not get these major nerfs. Never happened in any of the other MMO's I played that I know of. By all means bring out more powerful armor but stop changing the old ones.

    I can imagine.
Thinking out what build and abilities and armor sets we want is something that keeps us busy.
Where to spend our precious tempers...

and then, they suddenly crush all that, they trespass in our ownership

and had not the prudence, based on respect for a good customer relation, to give a timely warning.

and be assured... the CEO of ZOS will be very, very carefull in managing the expectations of his shareholders, and be very keen to give timely warnings.

They know what it means, they only need to apply and manage that towards their customers.

Which means that they should manage their change more professional, and not as "ad hoc" as they do know.
smaller steps... less risks... more transparency in what they aim for. Using communication pro active.

I am absolutely certain ZOS tries to do this, but also the ZOS team will have a learning curve

Seriously, its upsetting that we have to grind new gear to be as powerful as we were last week. The new sets should make us more powerful. Instead right now my dps dropped about 8k and irdc cause I just log out and say forget it. I don't have the motivation to try. Maybe I'll make it back once all the tanks learn how to manage their new role but until then I'm just wasting repair money trying to beat a dungeon that I have mastered 10x over.

    I agree with you

Nerfing arch mage wasn't a deal breaker as far as buying IC or not, but I didn't even see it in the patch notes, they stealth nerfed it and they will probably do it again to other sets that work well
