Item Sold mail needs information (console)

I'm having a blast playing and as a console player I'm looking forward to IC later this month.

I have a small suggestion that I think would improve quality of life significantly. When I sell something at a guild store I get an email with the gold attached to it, but no information on what sold or which store it sold from. I understand that PC users have add-ons, but the best we have here on console is our laptops or (in my case) a binder where I organize my notes. I'm able to track prices for the market that I'm trying to corner, but it involves looking through my 5 guild stores any time something significant sells to scan my inventories for the piece that sold.

I'm posting this so that this relatively minor issue gets a bit of attention.

Thanks.

Yep I agree. You get mail that says you have 1,063 gold but no idea which item of the 150 that you have between your 5 guilds it was that sold!

    I agree also.

It would be nice to know which item and where (Guildstore). That way we can get an idea of which guildstores are worth listing items on.

I also agree this would be a fantastic feature (on PC we have it in an addon, but of course, only reason that addon was made is because it was a feature many people wanted that was not available).

I really think this should be in game. I know some people want to know who bought the item, but personally I would be fine without that information. What guild store, what item, and for how much I feel should be included in the item sold emails.

I second this. If I know which Guild store is working for me I can make more informed decisions on how I conduct business.

It would be nice in the mail to let us know.

But of a pain searching through x pages in 5 guilds to see what actually sold

In this case less is best. I'm starting to see clogs and clogs of add-ons from PC but playing on Xbox I have to wonder if the PC lag comes from add-ons data and stuff

Lag isn't caused by adding 2 extra fields to a database. Neither is it caused by doing lookups when you open a mail :/

I imagine that that information is already available from the object that holds the gold amount information used to create the email. I doubt it would even require a change to the database, but it would require dynamically generated emails which is computationally trivial.

I don't think we need everthing the master merchant add on has to offer, which is a lot a data that could cause lag, but just some added data to the message sent to you. I would just say sold this item from this merchant. I would love to see th is in game.

Seriously please port PC addons to console and have a menu to toggle them on or off.

I realize this is going to shock you all , but Final Fantasy 11 on the PS2 , 3 , Xbox , Final Fantasy 14 on the PS3 and PS4 , Neverwinter on the Xbox , well you get the idea , all tell you who bought what in the mail when selling something.

Magically all these manage to do it , going back to early 2000's , without crashing the game and "lag'>

I know a certain someone likes less of everything, but his BS reason of technical aspects is another made up thing.

You mean we should be allowed to have basic, critical, game enhancing information? Nonsense. This is ESO. We don't need no info. We 'play how we want'.

BTW this is not an argument for addons. I like my binder full of notes. On consoles, your organizational skills give you an advantage and that's interesting and (at least for me) fun. I would just like some informative emails, and it seems I have some support. Thanks guys :)

senfing and receiving more data over the server multiplied by everyone ....why would that not cause issues?

Compared to constant movement and combat updates ? The TRIVIAL traffic a couple fields of STATIC info sends would be not noticeable.

If you notice those few packets , you've got far worse problems.

PC has been arguing for this for a while. I don't understand why the emails don't tell you what sold at the least, I'm not even begging for the buyer info. I just want to know what sold. Shouldn't need an addon for that.

have you ever played on PC?
Lag is a real issue whereas it's almost non-existent on console.
The only differences are add-ons and text chat vs voice chat.

It's one or the other causing the lag

The simplest of things could improve my gaming experience. This being one of them. I always think to myself "there is so much they could improve upon" and it's not even big things. Little features. -sigh-

When you open a mail to get the money, you already see something saying an item sold and you received blah for it.

All that information is retrieved from a single database hit returning a single fieldset. Adding a couple of extra pieces of info to that fieldset actually has zero overhead for transfer. It is still a single database hit, just asking for a couple more pieces of info.

However they handle it, the simple fact is, it is still a single call exactly the same as it is now. In the computer world, that is nonexistant.
