Hoarding rewards

The game mechanics allow for players to keep their rewards until they decide to claim them. This allows for people to save them up and use them after a patch when the rewards change. For example, knowing the glass motif fragments were coming in crafting writ reward boxes, many people kept as many as they could. Similarly just about everyone I've played with has been saving their undaunted keys until they hit vr16.

My question is, do you think this good for the game, or should the mechanics prevent farming of rewards?

I like the idea of having a choice.

If the drop rate was not so dismal, I would say no, but as it is.... it's acceptable.

the first time i found Divayth Fyr's mushroom, i saw that he had a skull on his library book shelf and i took it and put it in my inventory.
i kept it there perminantly and i have played morrowind with that skull in my inventory like a fetish ever since. even in oblivion and also in skyrim i allways keep a skull in my inventory.
the same thing here in eso, when you kill so many skeletons you get a free trophy of a skull and i keep it in my inventory on ALL my characters even on my bank Vault alts inventory.
it is a fetish with me that i do not want to let go of, and reminds me of Divayth Fyr and my memories of morrowind and also my love for necromancy.
so please do not take that skull away from me.
    please.

As someone who saved up 70+ provisioning writs and plan on having 100+ blacksmith/clothing/woodworking writs for the IC release, I am against this mechanic.

Mostly because my bank inventory space is taking a huge hit lol.

It's not about trophy items. I myself had a skull fetish in Skyrim, my house was littered with them.

It's just the items like keys or bags that are basically a roll of the RNG. Do you like that players can hold onto that 'roll' until they decide to roll it?
