Spamming wrecking blow non-stop from people. Who thought that was a good game mechanic to put in?

    Are you just finding this out? Its been a "thing" since 1.6 man. I agree with you.

    It hasnt been this bad got wrecking blowed 3 times in a row without ever seeing the animation. Has happened 6 times today.

    Imagine how it was when Sharpened mace was broken. At least your taking less damage now, am i right? lol.

    On the other hand I didnt know you could clip it so it doesnt show the animation. I know you can cancel the animation of the up swing but you should still see it coming. If there is no animation at all then thats an issue for sure.

    The animation gets culled, as do many other animations and sounds. ZOS stopped tweaking which sounds and animations get culled long before they should have stopped tweaking them. To me, it is a bigger issue that lag has been - especially for solo and (true) small group players who rely on visual and aural cues.

    This is a big part of the reason that players complain or quit due to being insta- killed so often - those players often aren't so much insta-killed as much as their client simpy didn't play the animations and sounds until they were dead.

    In addition to the culling, there may be a new bug - I have noticed uppercut sometimes not animating in a different way than it has in the past. But, even with any new bug fixed the issue won't go away until the old culling system is fixed.

    The numbers thing is always going to be there, but it’s more down to player skill and there are ways through ability choice to configure a group to be stronger vs. large groups of people. - BRAIN WHEELER - 2012 - LOL

    This seems like a new bug, I can't stand using it because I don't even see the animation, WTF.
    This may explain some issues I've been having with WB. The animation stops playing for me mid-way, I do instant damage... but the end result (the knockback/stun) doesn't always end happening right away. Sometimes it can take 1-2 seconds, other times 5-10 in lagged situations. I've been using Wrecking Blow forever, but sometimes definitely changed with it.

    In "life at ZOS" he said his favorite part of his job was "iteration". Funny, as PvPers, that's about our least favorite part of his job.

    Yo Eric, if you do like the solar system and PLANET OUT, you wont need so much drastic iteration, bro.

    I have confirmed this with at least 5 other players and files a bug report. When using wrecking blow one of three things now happen, when prior to patch for me it worked perfectly.

    1. The animation cancels and nothing happens.
    2. The animation cancels and 1-2 seconds later the mob is hit with the damage. This looks bizarre and feels awful.
    3. Its acts like it did before the patch, animation + dmg like it should.


    I along with many other have taken it off my bar because its currently a POS.
