How exactly is exp affected by group size

I was grinding about 30 mins ago and some guy kept inviting me to a 4 man group to grind, i was just spamming large aoe to make sure i hit every mob before they die in 2 seconds...
He messaged me in the end and after a 'colourful' discussion he kept insisting that group size doesn't effect exp. I've always believed that you get a exp bonus with a group of 2 and a penalty any higher than that?
Anyone confirm please also does anyone have the % lost depending on group size? i'm guessing someone on pc worked them out a long time ago

5 solo players attacking 1 add is the same xp as 5 people in 1 group attacking an add
It's still a reduction, just don't know the exact amount1 -

The exp gain just isn't worth it TBH.
From our test we have ran at most grind spots. We ran with 2,3,4,5 people and it just got worse and worse.
We ran these test or 20 minutes each.Anything useful that players are wanting added into the game all fall under the category of "Yer ruinin my 'mersion!" Sallington0 -
