Please Help w/Provisioning

DelbertStinkfester
How do you cancel a writ once you've taken it?

I have a provisioning writ and have spent the last 3 days playing about 20 hours trying to find a recipe and I'm just ready to give up. Is there a way to cancel the writ and get a different one. I've read that it can be done but can't for the life of me figure it out.

Please have mercy and help out the very frustrated n00b.

Go into journal, select quests & scroll down to provisioning writ.
Click options (triangle on PS4) to abandon.

A tip - if its for one of the level 1 recipes such as Chicken Breast, you can find the recipe in the starter area/s of your alliance.

You can also buy a crafted product from guild store and use it for writs.

I had a similarly hard time with a writ last week but eventually found it. Every writ I've done since then has been something I already had made in my inventory or at least a recipe I already knew.

Yes I know but I search for days trying to find a baked potato or the recipe and I just gave up. If I do ever find it and then find it after I find it I will be selling it in the store for 1000s

The first few provisioning writs are the worst, after that, they are easy as you only make a few recipes at each level for each alliance.

Check the Guild Kiosks in Zone 1 (places like Auridon and Stonefalls only have one in the first town, so go to Skywatch and Ebonheart for more kiosks). Some one will be selling the crafted foods at those kiosks if they are smart. And you will get the recipe in the first few writ rewards.

However Provisioning is really worth it. Do the writs on 2 or 3 characters a day, and you will never have to farm for Ingredients ever again.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

You will also have to wait out 48 hours or to be more specific one full period of writ otherwise it will have the same writ. The Writ change happens at 6AM GMT.
