Do You Think Additional Storage for ESO+ Members is a Good Idea?

So ZOS has mentioned that they are looking at providing ESO+ members with additional storage by means of something that they are currently calling "crafting bags". We can guess at how this might work, and make some logical assumptions, but at this point that's all that we really know about it.

that if ZOS thinks this is a good idea they don't understand the gaming community got me wondering about how many of us might think this is a good idea, and how many might think it's a bad idea.

So, without knowing anything more about the details of how this may or may not work, do you think additional storage for ESO+ members is a good idea? I'd appreciate it if people would post their reasoning (including any assumptions they've made about how it might work)

Also, I'm intentionally leaving this as a binary "good idea/bad idea" poll - I'd appreciate it if people would vote based on their gut and their assumptions for how they think it is likely to be implemented rather than say "I'm undecided because it's a good idea if X, but a bad idea if Y".

Assumptions: When you lapse on your subscription, you will be able to withdraw items from them but not deposit. Items will first be removed from your crafting bag before being removed from bank/regular bag.

1. I think many folks do not feel ESO+ is worth it. This will help some believe it is worth it. As well, crafting materials are extra tricky because they are nice to have on you, but the space they take up (on you or your bank) just isn't worth it on an extended play session where you want the ability to just "dump" everything into your bank and carry on. Sorting/selling later.
2. I have come REALLY close to buying a second account (watching for another sale) because I have now started playing my "mules" and no longer have enough room to store my junk treasures.

Personally I think it's a good idea. The assumption I'm working on is that ZOS would implement it in a similar fashion to guild banks, in that while you qualify you have full access (deposit and withdrawal privileges), and when you no longer qualify (ie. you're no longer subscribed) you lose deposit capabilities, but can still withdraw your items, or leave them there.

I think this would provide a solid incentive for people to subscribe.

As someone who does a lot of crafting... yes. Just doing provisioning and alchemy has a ton of materials needed. Then add in enchanting, blacksmithing, woodworking, tailoring, and eventually jewelry crafting (when ever they get to it).

I don't see why not. You have plenty of storage space between 8 character slots and bag/mount/bank upgrades. Giving containers for crafting materials to plus members is purely a convenience.

Yes renting more spaces as a ESO plus member is a good idea cause as now 10% more gold, exp, research time, and renting DLC isn't much of bonus of plus membership. As of now membership really is just a way for players to show support to ZOS which is a good thing but the bonuses could be a small bit better.

I assume this feature would be purchasable through crowns as well. I'm of the opinion that any quality of life improvement that can be purchased with crowns should be available to subscribers automatically.

I get the idea of having nice things for subb-ers, but this game has such problems with storage, it feels like a petty choice.

I do sub - two accounts - and will continue to do so. I'm just saying it doesn't feel nice.

I have a feeling the only people that will vote "no" are the ones that refuse to sub (or cannot afford to sub), and don't want anybody having something they don't have.

I actually don't think you're right about that. Actually, I know you're not right about that because one person who maintains 2 subs has already voted no

I strongly suspect that the people who vote no will do so for the most part because they think it's going to operate in a different manner to how the people who vote yes think it's going to operate. And at this point there's no way of knowing for sure who's right.

Everybody struggles with inventory in this game. Regardless of whether you have 1 character who plays 1 per day or 8 characters who play 25 hours per day. So this seems like a broad-based convenience that will benefit players of all kinds. And it does not give you any kind of P2W combat bonus. Mantikora doesn't care how clean my inventory is. That zerg mowing me down in IC doesn't care if my bank is full or not.

Although I would welcome extra storage and I am an ESO+ member currently, I worry what will happen if my sub runs out. For example, I forget to pay or am short on funds one month. I like the idea of having more space but I just think it would cause too many issues. Couldn't help but notice that I'm the only one who voted no on this. X_X

This is a huge duh. We barely get crap for being a plus member. I'm about to unsub because there's no real incentive to be subbed. Extra bag/bank space would be dope and much needed/appreciated.

Though after further consideration, I'd rather have the option to buy bags that never disappear than have to pay 15 bucks a month (which I do anyway, but I want bags that I can buy that don't disappear.)

So best of both worlds would be bags for sale in crown store, and provided free to ESO subbers.

Anyone that thinks this is a bad idea obviously is a non-sub. How can additional storage for sub be bad? People are asking for more items for subbing and storage is perfect.

Yes, I think it's a good idea. However, I think the same bonus should be available from the crown store for those that wish to purchase it that way. It doesn't have to be cheap, but there should be an option.

Crafting materials take up most of my bank space and pack space. It would be nice just to dump it in a different place. When it is time to craft, the materials are easier to find. I might consider getting ESO+ if they offered this. It would have to be a reasonable amount of storage space. Just 20 or 30 slots would not make it attractive enough. Provisioning materials take up a lot of my bank space.

Yes I would love to have more storage.

Although to be fair to non subbed players it would need to be available to them too. I've tried thinking of options:
- On the crown store - (Both ways of getting the crafting bags require you to spend money.
-Or ensure that there is a route in game to get the bags (whether you are subbed or not). However, then there might be a limit of how many bags you can use..which introduces the problem of what you do with the bag if you have subbed or not subbed but hit the limit...

So my answer is yes, as long as the system is fair and gives non subbed players the opportunity to obtain crafting bags somehow. ( I love the idea of benefits but wouldn't want people to feel bad for not being able to spend money on the game. )

EDIT: And I would also need assurance that if a sub got dropped you don't lose your mats, ( fair enough losing the the ability to slot a crafting bag but not the mats in thr bag. Perhaps they could be mailed to the player /put into bank/inventory like they've done before when inventory bugs hit)

Yes, only because the other perks are kinda...meh. You could substitute bank space for something else that's worth-while and I'd be just as likely to vote "yes" on it.
