I may be wrong..but I thought that the v15/v16 gear only drops from bosses/mini bosses in dungeons. Meaning that for each dungeon run you had less chance of getting a v15/16 item to decon, since the trash mobs drop v14? If I'm wrong and all the mobs can drop v15/16 gear-that's awesome!

EDIT : I'm referring to any v15/16 gear that doesn't come from IC ( whether new IC dungeons or the mixed PVE/PVP area)

Well, this sounds awesome.....NOT!!! I dont and will never PvP in this game, PERIOD so I'm sh?? outta luck on this cuz I dont PvP.
So the PvE'ers are screwed once again unless we buy these mats. Thnx the FU?? a lot Zenimax!!!

I see all this stuff done for the PvP'ers even tweaks made to classes for PvP reasons that has absolutely no damn thing to do with PvE. So, WTF you guys doing for us PvE'ers???? The PvE in this game NEEDS some serious attention!!! Mobs need much more enfeebling skills and we need lots of ACTUAL world bosses that require lots of people to kill and specific strats to make that happen and much, much, much more! I dont know, I see all this stuff done for PvP and not much if nothing done for PvE. Yes, I realize these new mats are gotten from PvE but its restricted to the PvP zone where you will be FORCED to PvP. This new content is added for the benefit of PvP to be honest. Its an attempt to FORCE more players into PvP and I really HATE that! If people wanna PvP then fine but please dont force it on those that dont want it

This is what I don't think is happening, I think crafted sets in the IC use mats from the IC and are vr15/16. all craftable sets can be made at v15/v16. It has been tried and done on the pts.

Yes, there will be new materials but there will be no "nodes" to gather from. You will only get the material by buying it from vendors in Imperial City or from deconstructing VR15/VR16 gear drops. Outside of Imperial City, only bosses in dungeons scaled to VR15+ will drop gear that can be deconstructed, not trash mobs. All dungeons will scale up to VR16 now, though. Most used to only scale up to VR12. So you will be able to get the new materials outside of Imperial City, but at a slower pace than if you buy the DLC. Cuz ZOS are a business and want you to buy their DLC. :-)

You can, of course, also buy the materials or VR15/16 gear to decon from guild traders for gold. Prices will likely be high at first, but I bet they will drop fast. This is not like Nirncrux or recipe fragments or PvP vendor bags locked behind RNG. Players will be swimming in Tel Var stones in a few weeks, and spending them on crafting mats to put up on a guild trader will be fast and easy. Will crafting mats be essentially free like they are now? No. But go grind some mobs during the time you would have spent farming resource nodes and you will likely acquire enough gold to buy what you would have farmed.
