jeremynever_die
So, i know there are ways of leveling up blacksmithing. Heres a list of things i know, please share of any other ideas to level up Blacksmithing.
  • constructing daggers and then deconstructing
  • stealing metal items and laudering then deconstructing
  • deconstructing in general
honestly there has to be more to it than im missing.

    They only way to level up blacksmithing quickly and easily is to find a friend in game to make and trade armor with so you can deconstruct it.

    That is how you get the most XP from deconstructing. Unfortunately, there is no fast track to leveling the three armor/weapon skills.
    Far too many characters to list any more.

    Hey Jeremy,

    You're spot on the money with those three point there, and I understand that sometimes it can be hard to find a crafting buddy to trade and deconstruct with.

    The easiest way I have found is a nice little quest town in the north-western corner of Malabal Tor (AD Zone). It's basically a town overrun with enemies with a quest line to convert it to a fully functional town with shopkeepers and the like. if you DON'T complete the quest you can run around the town looting all the shops with no-one to witness or catch you. The best part about this is that the town also has crafting stations so you can deconstruct the items you steal right away - you don't need to launder them first!

    A few tips to keep in mind:
    • The item you steal will match your characters level at the time of stealing, so if you leave this town and return at lvl 50 the items you steal will also be level 50!
    • The inspiration (crafting experience) gained when deconstructing item will increase with the items level;
    • If you're organised, you can bring a crafting friend with you to steal items, deconstruct them, use the materials found to craft new items, trade the crafted items with each other, and the deconstruct their items - amazing crafting exp;

    I managed to get from level 5 to 30 in blacksmithing in less than an hour using only stolen materials, no crafting buddies!

    Good luck, I hope this helps!

    I'm not super informed on the DC faction maps, I'm sure some other players will chime in here and help out!

    The town in AD was come across just by following the general quest lines, if you keep an eye out chances are DC will have a similar one as well. You'll eventually get to the town I'm referring to but it won't be until the VR levels...

    Sorry I can't help out any more than that!

    Same here guys, DC! Best place I've found so far would be Shornhelm forge; steal everything, decon, and enter the outlaw refuge that's right by the forge to get the items to respawn. Rinse and repeat! Lots of NPCs though, so can take a while waiting to get correctly hidden if you're worried about bounty.

    Just so you know, you do not need to launder the stolen metal items in order to deconstruct them. You can deconstruct stolen items (unless you're also trying to level your legerdemain skill line, but if you're not don't launder them, it is a waste of coin).

    Plus you are limited to a certain number of Fence transactions per day, and you would blow through that number really quickly whilst stealing!

    The way I built up my blacksmithing to level 50 fast was steal every armor weapon I seen in game took it to dismantle and I leveled within a few hours. An when u quest those blue or green items you find in game break those down also.
