Soon to hit Vr, Questions

I'm soon to hit Vr1 for the first time ever. I'm debating buying crafted set, to use to level up to vr2, etc.
Stamina NB, DW/Bow.
Thinking of buying hundings rage armor, not sure what else though, for weapons/accessories, etc.

Any idea what a price of a set usually goes for?

Thoughts and opinions? Is it worth to do, or no?

Leveling in ESo goes so fats that I, personally, won't spend cash on buying any gear until I hit High Level Vet Ranks.

I generally only even craft new gear every 6 levels or so.
I don't find gear to be that big of a deciding factor in PvE...I don't even repair my gear, it doesn't seem to matter much.

    That's just me though.
    EQUALIZE ALL PLATFORMS!
IF ONE HAS IT...ALL SHOULD HAVE IT!

I don't care what platform it is on...an MMORPG without Text Chat is NOT an MMORPG!

DONT hit L50! Avoid it at all costs.Lol! Once you do,the game's waay different. You take tons more time to level up,your rewards are junk and little bits of money.
(dont flame me.it's just my own opinion, and this comment is meant lightheartedly.)

Pve wise, you don't need to craft anything as looted gear is totally fine. Same can be said for weapons. Pvp might be a different story (does not pvp).

While you technically don't need to craft anything, it definitely helps. I have a magicka nightblade and unlocked Seducer, Magnus, and torugs pact (2pc for spell damage on daggers). I rely less on pots, can grind for longer periods of time, kill things quicker, and generally just have more fun. I would always recommend crafting your own sets. Not to mention the money you'll save not buying other peoples crap. You'll also save time not having to run from guild store to guild store trying to find the pieces or waiting on drops - just craft what you need, when you need.

I am Vet 10 now on my NB and still walk around in looted gear, some items I have upgraded to have a little extra. My weapons however I have asked to craft for me with a double enchantment bonus, that way I do some decent damage even while my weapons are still VR6. I think when you hit VR14 it might be time to look for a set, craft one self and possible mix and match some sets to squeeze out the max of your characters abilitities and prefered playstyle.

    @KingArturia , first, congratulations!

Second, don't bother buying a full set just yet. In fact, get to VR14 as fast as you can, and then hurry to Imperial City (if you have 2500 crowns, that is).

    Just my thoughts.

I've managed to get one character to VR14, another to VR12 & a third to vr10 without crafting any armor or weapons. Just used items picked up from loot drops. All about choice though. Just stating crafted gear is not needed for general pve stuff (for me at least). Cannot speak for trials, public dungeons or pvp.

I have no idea what crafted sets go for, but 5 Hunding's along with 5 Kyne's Flight (drops from V1-V5 and has rings) would probably be a good mix for you.

I developed the habit of making a full set of crafted gear for going through veteran ranks, going through one per level. You don't get jewellery as part of crafted sets though so it's not optimal, and you can do better with gold pledge drops and suchlike. I'm inclined not to bother with that until I get up to vr11+ though
