Rare sound?

Occasionally when I kill an enemy I hear a rare sound exactly the same as one I have heard in Spyro - Enter the Dragonfly. Is there any reason to this? Is this like the Wilhelm scream?

I don't know about that sound, but I seem to hear this song coming from the golden tower in the middle of Cyrodiil every now and then...

The only rare sound I've ever heard is the VERY small chance for Molag Bal to summon a Daedric Arch that summons banekins that try to suicide bomb you, you hear Molag Bal cackle maniacally in the back. This is going to be more common according to the Patch Notes of 2.1 on PTS, but before only was capable of spawning in a select places such as the final place in Bangkorai with all the Imperial Soldiers summoning Daedra.

How about the "phone ringing" sound? I can't remember what mob has that, but I still think I need to get up to answer it whenever I hear it.

I guess that's still better than all the "background sounds" on console voicechat.

What about the unbelievably loud thunder you sometimes here every now and then? Even when it's clear sky, I hear it often in Craglorn.

Also the weird sound in Greenwood and Malabal Tor (Sorry if I spelt it wrong) That sounds like a notification you'd get on your phone, always loved that sound for some strange reason.

Few projects have their own sounds unless they need to be especially unique. Most environmental or diagetic sounds - laughing, crying, screaming; birds, bears, and other animals; a sparkly aura or a ominous rumble - they are licensed from a set used by dozens of other publishers, also.

This means if you are astute, you can hear the same birds tweet in plenty of games. Every film's bear is the same bear. Every lion is actually also the same bear (they like to reuse sounds across a range of uses). And honestly, those bear sounds may have been recorded by a person (Frank Welker does a lot of animal sounds. I think its his main job at this point).

Then of course, you get sounds that become so famous (or infamous) in their own right that plenty of common consumers know them by name - for example, the well-known Wilhelm Scream.

So basically I'm saying that if it sounds like it was in Spryo, it probably was. Those sounds haven't changed for decades.
