Champion Points for Returning Players

Just returned to the game after a 1-year absence. Came back as a VR12 PvP Rank: 28 and I had something like 60 champion points awarded to my character upon my return. Is there any way we returning players could be compensated a little bit better than that?
The only substitute for victory is overkill.

    Compensated for what? I'm not bashing you, but I see no reason for compensation when you didn't play.

    [Hard Mode Dungeoneers] is recruiting all players of all levels for this new Guild.
    THIS IS A NEW-BUT-GROWING GUILD. We are focused on doing vet pledges, vet dungeons, getting achieves, & doing hard mode bosses.

    Yeah, terrible idea. Equal footing. Bah, what successful games do that? Probably the ones bleeding players due to massive imbalances caused by a system that discourages new players or anyone that doesn't devote their time to grinning.

    No, clearly equal footing is a bad idea. I don't know why people disagree with you or any others that grind CP.

    I think they should give tons of Enlightment for returning players, we all know there isnt that much players and returning and new players are important. ESO is going more and more down in Steam every day, so 6 month from now returning players are gonna be valuable as hell. I dont give a damn if they give 100 cps worth of Enlightment, anything to make them stay really.

    I put this again so Zen understand, but Returning Players are very valuable. Hopefully they get it.

    Well if zos tracked our xp like they said they were doing during the time OP was playing he would have CP.

    The point is that I've earned a ton of XP during the time I gamed, but it doesn't appear to count for much. In other words, from February to October of 2014, I earned more XP than a lot of players of who just started playing this year; not only that, I paid a subscription all that time. So really, the counterargument to mine simply comes down to: "Oh, well you picked the wrong time to play -- at the beginning of the game, paying a subscription to keep the game afloat. You should have just waited to grind."

    I earned too a lot of xp, like of most veteran players, before the champ system, I'm subbed since April 2014, why only returning player should benefit of this?
