@Bloodgharm are you talking about once the IC drops or for right now? There will be some chances, might as well just wait.

So its Funnel Health for single target spam, Sap essence for multi targets

Funnel is better than cripple for dps yes. What made you think people were spammin cripple? Lol

I prefer cripple
cripple, spaming cripple has mindgame benifits for PvP. I dont slot funnel for PVP

First of all, his nb builds are geared more toward pvp, however, his build is pretty close to what I've got slotted for mine. Secondly, I'm not running a hybrid build, just using stamina tactics on a magicka build.
MrTarkanian48 wrote: »I think your set-up looks pretty good. If I am not mistaken all those abilities are magicka based so I am not sure what you mean by "stamina tactics". What is your race and attribute points set up? It seems like most people are either choosing either stamina or magicka and investing the majority of their points into one or the other, If you run these abilities but have alot of points in stamina you will not maximize your damage output.
It seems like alot of magicka users are running DW to boost spell damage (DW gives greater spell dmg than a staff), but on magicka builds they rarely if ever actually use them for light/heavy attacks. Assuming you are heavily invested in magicka, your actual DW abilities and light/heavy attacks with DW weapons will be weak.

If you mean rolling or cc brake thats not "stamina tactics" what ever the hell that means dont use the words "hybrid build" if you're not talking about using stam and magic abiltys mixing max stat.
And deltia has made 4 nb pve builds this week and has many pve build sypher only does pvp buids YOU asked dont complain when given an answer

Chevalier, you seem to have a problem with being a little too blunt with people. Try using a little understanding a empathy and maybe think before you post something. I was simply commenting on how this build feels. Also, I checked YouTube today and didn't see any pve magicka melee builds from sypher. So he may not have posted those there yet. Chill out before you jump all over people because they're not "perfect" like you.
Maybe instead of being an ass on theso forums, you could actually try posting something constructive. Thanks!

Facing same level mobs or even ones one level below me, I had to use concealed weapon at least 3 times to get the enemies down to execute range. While I didn't expect to hit quite as hard as a stamina surprise attack, this just seems a little ridiculous. I was starting to have some serious issues with sustaining my magicka pool. I had to slot siphoning attacks to be able to take on regular boss mobs. I am VR3 with 5 magicka enchants on my armor and necklace and rings with spell cost reduction enchants as well.
I may end up just going with dual staves for this build so I can regain my magicka.

Concealed is hard to use while keeping your magicka up as its a huge drain. Make sure to weave light attacks and don't forget to use sap essence first to up your damage. If you need to, cloak and stun target then swap to staff and do a few heavy attacks. Also if you have mage guild abilities slot some of those for more magicka/magicka regen.
Useing Destro/Resto is for sure easier on your magicka because funnel health becomes your dps spam move and its rather cheap. Don't recall if i linked this to you already but try using this as a bases.

Concealed hits hard enough. The only thing you are missing from surprise attacks us the armor/spell resist debuff. Try marking your target and opening with sap then soul harvest, see how hard you hit then!
Whats your spell damage/max magicka at?
Inner light should be giving you 20% spell crit.
That setup sounds perfect! Just don't forget to hold block while spamming sap. And maybe a Destro instead of resto if you want more dps?
Also use funnel instead of swallow. Same damage and your helping your group out too!

There is an inherent problem with doing this as it encourages the player asking the question to go invest lots of time energy and effort into replicating that build or getting something that comes close only to find out that they have inherited all of that builds flaws as well. not to mention that alot of the Youtube videos out there are geared towards PvP, and can be or more than likely are outdated. My advice, is playtest what you think will work and adjust accordingly. Ask questions about mechanic and skills to try to get a good sense of how that skill works then if you feel that it has a place in your build you incorporate it. While there are some really good builds out there that have been posted, unless they match your playstyle you will likely be disappointed with the results.
As for your current set up, it looks good. although without learning more about how you intend to play the class its hard to say if you have the right skills to accomplish your goals.

That being a good mix of survivability and the traditional assassin "look". Up until recently, I thought the only way to eek out the most dps with a magicka nb was to use staves on both bars and cast far away. Looking at things in a different light, I realized that all these magicka morphs of nb class skills exist for a reason. Problem is, I don't know if it will be viable or if I'm wasting my time. So before I drop several thousand gold to respec, I would like to get a litmus test of sorts from the community and get their regards on a build I've been cooking up.
Disclaimer: I'm still leveling (currently V2) and am focused on pve questing until I reach higher levels and get into pvp.
Bar 1: DW (swords or daggers?)
Crippling grasp/swallow soul/siphoning attacks
Teleport strike
Impale
Concealed weapon
Shadowy disguise
U: Soul Harvest/Soul Tether
Bar 2: Resto staff (buff/aoe bar)
Structured entropy
Sap essence
Merciless resolve
Healing ward/refreshing path
Shadow Image
U: Veil of Blades
Armor will be 5 light 1 medium and 1 heavy
Using gift of magnus and seducer sets
Enchanted with store bought magicka/health glyphs
Mundus stone: mage
I would greatly appreciate some feedback on using what is essentially a stam nb rotation on my dw bar.
I'd start off by casting resolve and entropy from my buff bar, teleport strike, cloak, concealed weapon, crippling grasp/swallow soul and concealed weapon till in execute range then impale. (With the assassination passive, I'll be getting magicka back so I may not need siphoning attacks).
Aoe rotation will essentially just be me spamming sap essence till everything dies. Throw in a refreshing path every once in awhile and I should be good.
Please let me know if this will be a decent build. I'm hoping this will becoming my favorite "hybrid" build and I can stop switching back and forth from stamina to magicka.

I just switched to Magicka from Stam when I hit Vet 1 so I was in your same position. There are a ton of builds out there from way more talented people than me and they are very good. With that said I know what you mean in terms of finding something that fits for you. Example:
I love Sypher's PVP build but didn't want to rely on Force Shock.
I love Deltia's PVE build but didn't like a couple skill choices (in terms of playstyle)
I am by NO means an expert but I've had success with:
Bar 1: Fire Staff
Swallow Soul
Concealed Weapon
Sap Essence
Dark Cloak
Inner Light
Ult: Veil of Blades
Bar 2: Resto Staff
Impale
Merciless Resolve
Double take/Mass Hysteria/Crippling Grasp (switch when needed)
Healing Ward
Inner Light
Ult: Soul Tether
I've found I prefer (right now) the HA and LA of the Fire staff for the extra damage while using Swallow Soul and a combo of Cloack and Concealed Weapon.
For AOE it's simple: I usually Soul Tether then spam Sap. I really like Veil of Blades and use it too but I'm finding a lot of mobs that like to get range from me so having that stun on Tether is nice.

I know inner light should, but I'm just going off what my character sheet says. I should probably double check that, but I'm pretty sure my pre-buffed spell crit was like 29%-30%.
Don't worry, I'm blocking the hell out of incoming attacks. Lol! Kinda glad I have 2 swords equipped too since I can always pull a HA and gain back some stamina.
The only reason I slot swallow soul is because I have only really soloed up to this point and like the bonus heals i get from it. I'm on Xbox so group finder is the only way I can group up for dungeons...and since group finder is the only way I can group up...I don't group. Lol.
Is my spell damage good? Should I maybe switch to dual daggers on my dw bar for added spell crit while spamming sap? I'm told that the twin blade and blunt passive from dual wield also applies to spell damage and crit. Is this correct or are people yanking my chain? I'm still uncertain if I should push more for increased spell crit or spell damage.

You should slot Impale on your dps bar for the Hemorrhage passive in the Assassin tree. Maybe swap it with Swallow soul. You get more healing if you use it on the Resto bar.Bloodgharm wrote: »Inner light should be giving you 20% spell crit.

I'm pretty sure Swords will give you more overall dps than Daggers. More spell damage never hurts, if you have a choice btween spell damage and spell crit take spell damage. Also yes, the passive in DW tree does effect spell crit. Same with the sword passive.
And i have only used group finder once. I mostly hit up guildmates or friends. Be more active and social. Also, standing around the Undaunted daily npcs or even craglorn wayshrine (or your factions capitol) is a good way to get into a group through area chat. You can only solo up to a point, eventually if you want to progress you will need to form groups.
