Clothier Writs

I have noticed that with clothier writs, they mostly always require Void Cloth and never Shadowhide. I always find myself with hundreds of Shadowhide and very little void cloth because of these supposed random writs...

Is it really random, or?

    It should be random, but I find it's more like 5/6:1 Cloth:Hide. However, this goes for all levels of writs, not just L9 material writs.

    I have had success dropping the cloth writ and picking up a hide writ right after about half the time.

    I've noticed the higher use of cloth rather than leather through doing clothier crafting writs

    I've only confirmed on lower tiers, but each craft has just three (except alchemy which has four) unique writs for each tier. Two of the clothing writs are for light armor, and one for medium armor. I believe they each have the same chance of occurring, but I haven't tested that thoroughly.
