These server stability issues have gone on longer than they ever should have and the hate thats been coming up from them are closing in on a boiling point. As a retail manager if I treated my customers in such a way I would be out of business fast. I had two groups I ran with in trials today mention organizing a crown store boycott until they actually pull real effort into fixing the server stability.
Im sure this thread would be locked soon but at least that means someone on admin side saw it and maybe they would tell their boss hey the players are looking at ways to affect our income.

The internet is experiencing nationwide outages right now. ZOS has no control over it.

And if you're not trying to connect to any servers that are handled by Level3 in the areas where Level3 is showing outages, then you wouldn't...ontheleftcoast wrote: »The internet is experiencing nationwide outages right now. ZOS has no control over it.

I wouldn't put too much stock in those maps. I'm supposedly in the middle of the Seattle outage yet have no trouble with the intertubez. On the other hand it is possible this is some sort of internet glitch and not ZOS. I guess we'll see what happens.

Back when I worked in a bank branch, we actually had this happen. Power outage covering about 8 city blocks, with our branch right in the middle... Obviously for security reasons we had to close down, not let anyone in, and lock all the cash up in the vault. Yup, of course we had folks yell at us for not being open.Uncle_Voodoo wrote: »Looks like someone needs to do some research about how how Internet business is run and what data centers are before just starting a rant.
It would be like your customers getting po'd at you because there was a power outage in your area and you couldn't open your store.

Last I checked the problem was with specific Internet Service Provider. If you are in the middle of an "outage zone" and still have fine internet, you are using a working ISP. The NA servers are not using a working ISP, so even if yours is working, you cannot connect to them. This is not a ZOS issue, it is an ISP issue.

Yeah that sort of thing used to happen to me a lot. It's why I don't work for an ISP any more. All the "where's my innernetz!?!?" got really tiresome really fast.

lets use the old dixie cup toy phone scenario to try to splane to these people... You see, you can poke a hole in two dixie cups and add a string connecting the two... On one end you can talk into the cup and the other person can hear u, and visa versa... but... if someone cuts the string... BAM, no more talky talky...
As in the case here, the string was cut between your dixie cup, and ZOS' dixie cup...
End of tutorial...

Sorry for going off topic, but I actually said that to a customer one time (in more polite language. I referred him to one of our competitors.) He said "You guys are constantly having problems, what is going on down there?" He refused to listen when I told him that the entire state was offline because of a problem at the backbone level and kept going after us like it was our fault.
He then became enraged because I told him we didn't need his business any more. LOL he wanted to keep using us as his own personal punching bag. Moral of the story: some people just want to use others as an emotional toilet because they are immature.
