Why "Constitution" is even worst than we have ever thought...

Another Heavy Armor needs devs thread !!!

With the 2.1.3 "BlackRose Gate" where the 5p bonuses have been change to +50% on the Constitution passive (+336 stam and magicka / 4s on hit at VR14), I have just realized, after all the bad thing there is to say what I did about the mediocrity (euphemism) of Heavy Armor in PVP, especially for Stamina Melee players I still have missed one:

Did you guys noticed that Stamina and Magicka Regeneration from medium and lilght armor have many champion points, racials, potions that demultiply their effectiveness but "Constitution" Passive from Heavy Armor has not ?

So what ?

Well Medium ("Windwalker") and Light ("Recovery") armor have just access to a resource mechanism that just SCALE (additively or multiplicatively, ZOS tooltips are as unclear as always and sometimes compute differently than what stated) with the power (CPs, stuff, racials passives...) of the character.

On the Contrary the Heavy Armor resource Mechanism does not, and had access prior to 2.1.3 and "BlackRose Gate" to... nothing.
Still the passive and the resource mechanism for Heavy Armor is so bad, that players have lost all interest in the once promising set despite its "wonderful" +50% to constitution.Heavy resource mechanism is just even worst than we have thought.

Each item boosting Resource regeneration is therefore 50% or more valuable on Light/Medium than on Heavy, deepening the gap and the resource advantage even more at the expense of Heavy Armor users.

The already inferior resource system is getting more and more inferior, the better the gear, the level, the Veteran Ranks, the champion points obtained.
Please change it ZOS.
  • Balance Armors resource systems between efficient medium and light ones that scale and an inefficient heavy other that does not.
  • Balance PVP.

    Heavy armor warriors typical of fantasy and high-fantasy games will never exist in TESO. It's an MMORPG, heavy armor has to be the PvE tank only armor with all passives helping it do so; as heavy armor is capable of doing the bare minimum for PvE content, it is in a good spot - this means you should expect it to never be updated as medium armor and light armor is all that should be in Cyrodiil in order to make balancing easier and of course to bring back Torchbugs.

    It's sad and I wish heavy armor warriors did exist and were simply warriors whom were not sneaky at all but very durable, dangerous and visible to see from a mile away.

    Heavy armor will only get worse before it gets better, right now it's not even changing at all. It's sad, but hey; maybe heavy armor is intentionally terrible so Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood gear can have aggressive bonuses which accommodate warriors in a way similar to Ravager, but better and v18 or v20 gear.

    Heavy armor on the far right. I'll be very disappointed if the reason all heavy armor is currently so poor is in order to encourage DB and Thieves Guild purchases by gating good heavy armor set bonuses behind them.

    Its crap that heavy armor sucks so bad. I enjoy the look of it so much more than the others.

    They simply want to make sure that nobody other than Nightblades can survive in the patch. They want all Magicka users to essentially just die, and decrease their damage.

    Not looking forward to this patch in the slightest.

    I forgot to add that "Continuous Attack", the passive from assault line also does get better with medium and light and NOT with heavy armor "Constitution".

    Plz requesting official statement @ZOS_BrianWheeler, @ZOS_GinaBruno : Are you happy with the state of heavy armor in PVP considering it has :
    • lowest DPS (loss of our only DPS passive +7% on melee some patches ago)
    • lowest sustain (resource mechanism) desperately and rightfully needing more resources (thread)
    • lowest scalability (as proven in this post)
    • worst itemization (Black rose and Leeching Plate first attempt to put a mechanic that fit a playstyle different from the simple and "soak damage" archetype)
    • worst survivability since active defenses (cloack, dodge, teleport...) are far superior since they negate all the damage and allow to survive by fleeing non favorable fights to passive defenses and armor is half as good as on paper due to penetration mechanics (as demonstrated in THIS post) and even abilities and mechanics (damage overflows I read on damage shields) that ignore armor

    In PVP Heavy Armor is the best in absolutely NO aspect of the game except if you play like in PVE with a group that can provide you with heals and resources (templar) and healer. The issue is paramount on DK who have the worst stamina passives (far behing NB, Temp and Sorcs now) and worsen by melee players who cannot heavy attack in fights due to block necessity not to be insta-killed (thread).
