Can you imagine how annoying that would-be in heavy populated areas? Its bad enough having to turn off area chat every two minutes because someone's playing *** pop down there microphone. It would be like playing abes odyssey, hello, hello, follow me, ok..... No thankyou very much

If you are on PC you can just /say right before, after or even during your emote depending on how fast you type.

I agree, I always thought it was such a huge waste of time to select a voice for your character when the only thing you hear from them is AHHHHHHHH! AHHHHG etc.

Mine would say "FIX THE PVP LAG PLEASE....NOT NEXT PATCH....NOW PLEASE......"

I see your annoying voice emote and raise you. I would like my character to say in a loud and emotive voice, "It's here!" over and over and over. You know, so the new players can experience what we did in the Rift for months.

I have often thought about this. Especially considering that you can choose between several voices when creating a character. You can somewhat hear their voices when you laugh and cheer, but that's about it.

I'd like something along these lines:
* A "greeting" and a "farewell"
* Humming or singing (just a random "la-la-la" song would be fine)
* Remarks, like "okay", "yes", "no", "please", "thank you", "no thank you", "good job", "help!", "over here!", etc.
* The possibility to do emotes while mounted.
But the remarks should be as neutral as possible, so that they cannot be used in a negative manner (no need to give trolls more ammunition).

This will most probably never happen, but a girl can dream

Seriously? I got 15 awesomes for that comment? I mean, it was meant to be amusing, but I didn't think it was that funny...

On topic, I actually would like it if your character said a word or two here and there. Even just a greeting (that maybe cycled through a couple of greetings like "Hello", "Hi", "Hey there" etc) option and a farewell option. But you would have to include an option for people to mute those from other players so that people wouldn't just spam them in banks and such to be annoying.
