Daily writs

I thought for sure I was prepared and ready for the next level writs. I have a problem though. I try to increase my writs to the next zone, across the board (all 6 crafts). I have enchanting, blacksmithing, clothing, and wood working now all having to turn crafts in at Reapers March, but Provisioning and Alchemy are still being turned in at Malabal Tor. What am I doing wrong? I have (4/4) for Provisioning (to be able to craft legendary recipes, my skill lines is level to 50, I have (5/6) in Recipe Improvement. And for Alchemy I have (5/6) for Solvent Proficiency.

you'll be stuck at lvl 4 writs in cooking and -- to be confirmed : lvl 5 gear crafts -- as long as you havn't done the 1st quest in coldharbour : the touring with the groundkeeper.

after that you'll stay with lvl 5 cooking writ until you get to lvl V1 (even with 6/6 point... color quality doesn't matter you can have only 1 point there)
for the gear, it's a pain to lvl it above you own level anyway, so i can just confirm that you get lvl 6 ones at V1. I didn't try before being V1.

for alchemy and enchanting, i'm not sure either. But outside the trading houses, it would be a pain to find the solvents/runes if you are not in the relevant region as for the gear.

To sum up : lvl and coldharbour (follow the main faction quest line to unlock) to get Advanced writs.

Because the Equipment and Enchanting crafts have 9 material levels and Alchemy and Provisioning have 6 levels (solvent and recipe) there is a disconnect with the upper tier writs. You have discovered it, and this is working as intended. IIRC, you will never drop off a Prov or Alchemy writ in Zone 5.

Note, your Recipe Quality has nothing to do with Writ levels, all writs only want Greens. You can be at L1 or Green in that Passive as far as Writs are concerned.

Once you get to Coldharbor or Craglorn, then all your writs will be in the same town again.

i just unlocked craglorn, and with skill lvl for my needs (v1) and max cooking, i still hand over the enchanting at reaper march, gears and alchemy at coldharbour and cooking at craglorn.

Hmm, I thought they would all line up in Craglorn if they are all maxed but you have not unlocked Craglorn yet. Maybe you are not max in each type of crafting, as you say, your making stuff for your VR1.

I will have to remember this, I have an alt that is currently doing L3 writs (she is VR10 but not a crafter just doing it for the money)

I suppose a lot of people were already max level when the writ system started, and it makes it hard to find accurate infos tbh.
I did some testing as I was leveling. Can just report what I observed till now.

Thank you all for the input. This definitely helps explain some things. And, @Nestor good call on the out of 6 as compared to out of 9 levels in the crafts.

Since there is not accurate information regarding the writs and drop offs for the (5/6) folks, I will not put any more skill points into provisioning or alchemy and I will complete the first quest line in Cold Harbor (I have completed 1 of the 3 steps in finishing the opening cold harbor quest). I will try to get the other 2 portions done tonight, and I will let you all know if this changes my drop off location for provisioning and alchemy.

So, as @WandaMey said.... I didn't actually have to finish the initial quest line in order for alchemy and provisioning to be turned into Cold Harbor, I had to just do the "walk through" with the Groundskeeper.

Thank you for the help everyone!
