Also, can you imagine how many posts would be made saying it's "not fair" that players have to make all-new characters just to see the storyline of the other two alliances?
Seems like a good tactic to me for ZOS to use.
Yea... this could have been done a lot more tactfully... oh well... they're not changing it now. I know I pretty much have zero will to go through silver and gold. I have alts for other factions.
I'm in silver zone. And come to this map I have to fight troops of my own alliance to do quests now. Really? Devs are you out of your mind? Why on earth would I be a traitor to do that?

World of Warcraft has done it for 10 years that you reroll if you want to play the alternate faction.
It's the biggest MMO in the World today.
Failed assumption IMHO.

None of the things your character does in Silver and Gold zones actually happen. It's all part of the astral plane equivalent of Cadwell's consciousness, you entered the rabbit hole when you touched that crystal and tumbled down into wonderland, dare you see how deep the rabbit hole goes?

As a Khajiit loyal to the dominion, this one merely rushed the quests sneaking whenever possible, killing only rogue bosses, and saving as few citizens of the other faction as I could.
At least on Silver, wich means i literally just stroll'd casually around a destroyed Riften, saved zero eggs from the hatchling-murderer-mist, retrieved no shards of that axe thing (tho' i could have, but nah), and i'm pretty sure i left some racer die, too.
Oh and by this date, still didn't do S(*) for the covenant, too; I just wrek the pretty anchors.

Don't you have a sense of loyalty? Never mind, guest you don't know what I'm talking.

I'll google to make sure those quests have nothing to do with my own alliance before accepting them then.

...Does the phrase "make-believe" mean nothing to you? Cadwell explains it. It's a Dragon Break, just go with it dude.
And no, my pretty pixels don't have senses of loyalty.

You're going to run into some issues completing Cadwell's Silver/Gold then. It's a bummer.

And ESO should copy the bloated-corpse WoW because...?

It's an opportunity to see things from the other side. When you are in the alternate reality created by Cadwell's Silver, you are no longer a member of your original faction.I'm in silver zone. And come to this map I have to fight troops of my own alliance to do quests now. Really? Devs are you out of your mind? Why on earth would I be a traitor to do that?
Yes, that's an option, but there are also people who want to experience everything the game has to offer on one character. Cadwell's is there as an option for those players. That's what 8 characters for.Ace_of_Destiny wrote: »Also, can you imagine how many posts would be made saying it's "not fair" that players have to make all-new characters just to see the storyline of the other two alliances?Ace_of_Destiny wrote: »Alternate Reality...a "what if" of sorts.
