https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ET7Ww_8vj8I'm curious what that red orb is around kosmoko. Some kind of shield? I've never seen it before, and when I ran into him on my EP dk, he didn't have it up either. He killed my ass pretty fast though. He's good.
I had the unfortunate experience to be tea bagged and insulted by one of the participants in this video today. It is such a shame to experience such immature behaviour from a fellow AD player , it certainly detracts from the otherwise friendly community that ESO has attracted.
That was an intense fight that required keen focus and timing to emerge victorious. Kosmoko is definitely one of the top NBs I've encountered.
Thank you Ara for recording this on my behalf.
Great fight on the part of both parties, I run a very similar build to Kosmoko but fights against great sorcs running that build will always end with the NB dead in the end which is why I don't bother fighting the decent sorcs any more 1 v 1.
I couldn't tell for sure but it looked like he wasn't running fear. I think I saw deep slash as well which is great for slow and maim but when you're a melee build having to eat mines and attronach in order to attack will eventually result in your death on a long enough timeline. You're not going to kill anyone with shields using sword and board and 2 hander limits you to wrecking blow which leaves you vulnerable. Your only chance at victory is getting a fear off that they can't break for a couple of seconds and hope to be able to burst them down but that's relying on a bug to hand you a victory which is meaningless at that point.
Great fights on both parties, to the person recording it would have been nice to have the fight during the day time, it was very difficult to see the health bars of both parties. I don't even know if Kosmoko ever actually damage Qaevirs health.

He doesn't run fear, he uses invasion instead. They both do the same job when it comes to fighting magicka builds. Kosmoko damaged his health, but 1H NB builds generally lacks the burst to beat down Sorc shields these days. Partially why i stepped away from 1H NB builds, they aren't as effective at taking down Sorcs as they used to be. Better served imo by DW or 2H for better burst capability when it comes to a good Sorc these days.

I love someone implemented the 3rd person camera though. We should encourage that.

Nothing is as effective at taking down sorcs as they used to be haha. Shields right now are scaling over 50% faster than damage all else being equal.
I don't know any NBs capable of killing a properly set up and skilled sorcs in a 1 v 1, at best they are capable of achieving stalemate. This is the same reason I don't fight sorcs any more. You're put at a disadvantage by attacking them as they have superior control with the use of Attro and Mines. If you don't engage them and instead ignore them however they have zero chance of killing you. It's only when you risk eating mines, making yourself vulnerable with gap closers and sitting in an Attro that they have the opportunity to kill you.
I'm not trying to diminish Qaevir in any way. He played flawlessly from what I saw and it isn't easy to both control damage and keep your shield stack refreshed to avoid being burst for that long of a fight when someone is pressuring you that hard....which is why most sorcs are still relatively easy to kill in a 1 v 1.
If you're really good though and have maxed your shields, I don't feel you can be killed by any class other than another sorc barring an enormous stroke of luck. There is a good half a dozen I've come across that I give the "Blinxey" treatment. I'll fight them with others around me but in a 1 v 1 scenario I just wont bother engaging.
Sadly on PTS I feel the reverse is true from what I've saw so far. But that's another subject.

Yah I went up against quaevir in my SnB build as emp (7k regen, 2.7k weapon dmg, 45k stam) and couldn't put the coup de grace on him, so I just left the fight. The only solid way I've come to receive any consistent decent results against sorcs is to go all out dmg and power through the shields, which is next to impossible for some sorcs, reasonably feasible for other sorcs. Another tactic that I've taken to is the fully charged heavy attack on top of my flying blade spam. Again, against a great sorc it's putting all my eggs in one basket because there are so many counters, but meh... without my loving bow, I don't feel like there are the counters needed to break the shields.
Anyways, I don't have patience for fights this longyou're both more patient players than me
Hey put your fights vs. me up Ara=p. Just joking.
Anyway, no excuses here. It was a heavyweight fight between 2 good players, and I lost. GG to the victor.
I did get him a little low a time or two, as I remember.
On a side note, I'd have loved to gotten to use Emp. powers before this update. Alas, QQ!
Ezareth, I've only ever lost to 3-4 sorcs. I don't mind fighting them when I have the time=)

Yeah I'm probably in the same neighborhood but I don't duel and don't have the patience to spend 15 minutes on these kind of fights. After about 5-10 minutes I usually end up just going all out DPS which leaves me vulnerable and is the reason I end up dying in the end. It's just not really fun and the victory for whoever wins in the end is meaningless.
The last Sorc I "dueled" ended up getting feared through the world after it went on for a good 10 minutes. Clearly he was outplayed haha.
WTB Ara Valleria skills in Adobe AE. I still remember that Flying Sorc video which I think was made by the same person.
