Nothing much ever gets said about the good side of the community.

What's been your positive experiences?

Mine, a bunch of experienced PvPers took me under their wing to show me the ropes. I died a lot and I was more of a hindrance to them than an asset. However, not once did anyone in the group come out with anything negative towards myself, though. They offered advice and laughed at some of my deaths, but that's all it was - jesting. No malice or hint of a superiority complex. Hell, they even invited me back and asked my to join their guild.

Was given my 2 last racial motifs by a fellow guild member free of charge. I did send him a token gold amount as I felt bad about just taking them.

Some random gave me a free vampire bite, then went on his/or her way.

I once asked some random that was passing a boss area if he would help me. He turned his horse around, then jumped off and helped. Went on his way afterwards.

There's been more, but you get the gist. My point being, a large percentage of the player base aren't as bad as they're painted to be on here.

These forums are quite similar to the notion that it's human nature for us to remember and say something negative than positive. For those people that enjoy it are more or less spending time in the game than here in the forums (in general).

I do feel good answering new people's question about pledges/crafting/class skills as I know people have to understand the game mechanics somewhere.

I've come across numerous players in game who are very courteous and helpful. I try to be as well. As a master crafter, I regularly come across new players and will often take the time to craft them a gear set to improve their gameplay. I was once a noob to MMOs, and I received the same gesture from a "leet" player. It made my gaming experience so much better knowing my character had improved gear. It made me feel like a boss!

It makes me feel good to give that back to others once-in-a-while.

@dwtdwtdwt As long as you know us noobs appreciate what people like you do. As we progress in any game, we all tend to forget what it was like when we first started. There's people hanging around in the busy city hubs offering vamp/WW bites out to noobs for 10k. I mean, what noob has that much to throwaway when we're building up our storage space? So when someone crafts gear or gives things out, not expecting anything in return, it is very helpful and appreciated.

I've began handing my motifs out for free and hopefully those people who have taken them return the favour to others later down the line.

I joined a guild when I was just beginning this game, in June when I could buy to play. (actually if I had known how much I was going to love it I would have subscribed to it long before). The guild (Nephilim) has been great, wonderful advice and help. Sharing crafting stuff, and genuine congrats when I finally made Vet12. And beautiful new armour as gifts for getting there (I Love Warlock!!)
Not only that but two or three times a week I play with a real elite player (he is both a pvp and pve master) and he has taken the time to help me learn to play, tweaked my abilities, shown me how to use them and then made me do stuff that was way above my apparent level. He says its good training. I say it is the most enormous fun. Not sure what he gets out of it - fun I expect and relief from winning the war.
I have had more positive reactions from players than negative. Of course I have had a few, you know being left in a dungeon or people being impatient cause I didn't know what I was supposed to do. But by far more positives.

I've had a lot of positive experiences on ESO.

One of my guilds invited me to do a trial, I had never done one before up until then, they showed me how to do Hel Ra. I figured I was going to end up being a paper weight for them but we did really well and even got a leader board score (I got some fancy gold VR14 ring for it).

I've also had many guildies help me with selling items, give me items to research, I even had one send me 50 enchanting glyphs so I could get level 50 enchanter.

ESO has a really good community if you just avoid Auridon and Stonefalls zone chat, I can't remember the last time I actually paid attention to the chats there.
