Leveling past Vet-12

Is there a way to do this in solo content that gives good XP?

I hit vet 12 a few days ago, and it's going rough. I finished every quest in all the faction zones, and I have been running around craglorn, but everything there gives such garbage XP. I tried the grind spots in Reaper's March (Ebonheart pact, BTW) and Craglorn, but it's both painfully boring and not fast at all. The highest amount of XP I was getting per mob was about 450 or so.

Next update 31 Aug they'll lower the XP required of vet rank and increase the XP of vet rank quests. However if you're already done all the quests, I suggest doing repeatable quests in pvp zone.

If you are not willing to do any group content, your only option is to solo what you can in Craglorn or esle try PvP in Cyrodiil.

Doing pledge runs on a regular basis so that you clear all dungeons for the skill point and then later on the keys will give you quite a lot of xp, as does doing DSA even in normal mode.

It's not that Im unwilling to do group content, it's that I can't always do group content. I love Dungeons and Raids. I would run those 24/7 if I could. But sometimes it's difficult to find a group, especially for world content in craglorn. No one want's to do Craglorn stuff anymore. I have a dedicated group of friends I do dungeons with, but I am looking for content that i can do by myself when they aren't on, or are doing other things.

Have you done all the PvE in Cyrodiil yet?

what i did: once i hit vr1 i made exploration armor, hit every blacked out location in silver/picked up above ground skyshards, then i did the quests for silver to reach gold, then i did dolmens, world bosses, dungeons. by this time i was midway through vr5.
went to gold, grinded to 12,repeated what i did in silver. im 200k away from vr14 on that character and i havent even finished all the quests in silver and gold yet,nor have i done anything in cyrodiil except the alliance tutorial and cpl of skyshards.i suggest u wait for update,xp is increasing in zones, amount needed will be lowered to 850k

So, basically, there isn't anything I can do to get to vet 14 that isn't either grinding mobs, Group content, or getting ganked in Cyrodiil while I try to do daily quests.

Grinding is faster with a partner. Especially if you mara each other and/or are subscribed to ESO plus. Also, the xp booster scrolls were a useful tool when I grinded from vet12 to 14. I hit the Dro'kin monastery in Reapers March. Couple hours per vet level. Not fun or exciting, but better than some of the alternatives imo.

The dailies in Cyrodiil also give out good xp. Again, if you have a buddy to mara and eso plus, that'll boost your xp intak3. And agsin, xp boosters work nicely as well.

This is the correct summary. You basically have to learn to exploit like the rest of the MMO crowd to get there quickly, and then troll the forums afterwards saying "it was easy for me, you need to l2p."

The fastest way is going to be AoE grinding in Reaper's March. Find a friend and some XP pots and hit one of the grind spots. It becomes mind numbingly boring, but you should be able to do it in 2-3 hours. The other alternative is to simply not care, because even after you get those last two levels there's not much else to do.

Strange, I keep seeing requests for groups for quests in Craglorn pretty much daily...

Hit the online maps and make sure all delves, dolmens, and public dungeons are done (good for skyshard collection too), but otherwise you're right (unless you want to get into PVP). If you choose a dead campaign to use for your Cyrodil PVE runs, you should be able to avoid getting ganked. Best way is to break it up as you go.. after completing each zone go and grind for 20 mins, run a dungeon or two. That way you get to around VR13-14 before you run out of PVE content. Or just take a break for a few days and wait for the massive XP changes in the next patch that are coming. I'm guessing it will cut levelling time for vet ranks by about half.

This is basically the best way for a PvE'r. The cyrodiil dailies give very fast XP (because they are so quick to complete). When you do them and your faction controls the nearby keeps, even if there are enemy players at the hub they tend to leave you alone (because they do not want to risk having to ride back across the whole map). There is always a slight risk of getting ganked even in a dead campaign, but the benefits outweigh the risks by far, IMHO.

All the "dead" Cyrodiil campaigns are dominated by the Aldmeri dominion. And they do nothing but gank players doing daily quests.

I apologize, I don't mean to be one of those people that just comes on the forums and complains, but it is really frustrating when you are just doing dailies in Cyrodiil and leaving the other factions alone so they leave you alone, and then one of them comes along and just kills you simply to be a jerkwad when it is obvious you are there just to do dailies and not PvP. And it's always someone from the Aldmeri Dominion.

You might want to start a new toon till Orsinium comes out. That is supposed to be a solo questing zone that levels with you.

I hear XP in Craglorn is getting upped in the update for both monsters and quests, so you may have an easier time finding groups after next week.

That said, there are always people looking for groups there.

I agree with this. The XP boost in Craglorn and the reduction in XP needed for VR leveling will be apart of the free patch everyone gets so you don't even have to buy IC. You will likely have a lot better luck in Crag after the patch.

Also, if you have difficulty finding groups, start one of your own. People want to be lazy as possible. If you say something like, "need 2 dps and 1 healer for repeatable quests" in craglorn, you'll have a lot better rate of finding pick up groups than waiting for someone to be spamming for you.
I'm kind of a small deal!
