Blackheart Haven difficulty since update on 20th Aug PS4

hi since the update on 20/8 Blackheart Haven difficulty level has been impossible. i can barely get past the first mob nevermind captain cutter or whatever his name is. i'm vr1 had different combos of group as high as vr7 (with enemy levels vr1). previous to the update i completed this several times i know its quite hard but not to be able to get past the 1st mob is stupid. i have went directly to other dungeons (after giving up) with 3 in a group and completed them as normal. is anyone else finding Blackheart Haven a nightmare.

Wait, are you trying to fight your way through all the mobs in the pirate village area that you start in? If so, that's really not what you're supposed to do. There are disguises in baskets near where you enter the instance, and you're supposed to all wear them in order to get past the mobs (but watch out for the dogs, as they can see through the disguises). Trying to fight all of those mobs would definitely be a challenge.

thanks. didnt realise, unfortunately neither does anyone else i have grouped with. but before the update the mobs werent that difficult. think i'll wait for a level 45 leader.

It's actually possible to solo these guys if you jump down into the water and snipe at them from under the decks and walkways, but it's very tricky. It's better to just bypass them with the disguise as mentioned above.

The REAL challenge is the first boss after you get past the pirates and dogs. He likes to knock you off his platform, so what I do is scurry into the small room behind him and fight him there. He will still try to knock you, though, so make sure he doesn't knock you behind the furniture, because his aggro will reset, and you'll have start him all over again!

That's exactly what I do. This is one of those boss fights where having a tank who can hold aggro on the boss makes it so much easier. I just taunt him, dodge-roll into the room, and keep him facing me in the room with my back to the door leading to the rest of the dungeon (this way if he does knock me back I just hit the door immediately behind me), and his back to the doorway while the DPS do their thing. If you don't do things this way (or use a similar strategy), odds are at least one person is getting knocked clear off that platform...
