Question about A site with a good description on the maths behind how armour works.

As the question says. Can anyone link me to a site with some information on how the various armour numbers work? For example how much spell power is generated per point of armour etc

Thanks in advance

At veteran rank 14, each 650 points of armor or spell resistance reduce the damage taken from physical respectively magic attacks by 1%, up to a maximum of 50% reduction.

Prior to calculating damage, the attacker's physical/spell penetration is calculated and reduces the targets mitigation rating accordingly.

Stacking armor over the hard cap of 50% mitigation (32500 armor / spell resistance) will be effective to counter armor/spell penetration, so is not necessarily wasted.

That is all the numbers I have. Hope that helps.

I read this, and it is close enough to true for my needs:

The formula used is ([physical] resistance-100)/(level*10) where level is your level+Veteran Rank (64 on VR14), -100 because everything has a hidden 100 penetration aparently, *10 because 1.6 made everything 10 times larger.

    from http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info984-MitigationPercent.html

VR level | armour for 50%(cap) resistance
    VR1 | 25,100
    VR1 | 25,600
    VR2 | 26,100
    VR3 | 26,600
    VR4 | 27,100
    VR5 | 27,600
    VR6 | 28,100
    VR7 | 28,600
    VR8 | 29,100
    VR9 | 29,600
    VR10 | 30,100
    VR11 | 30,600
    VR12 | 31,100
    VR13 | 31, 600
    VR14 | 32,100
    VR15 | 32,600
    VR16 | 33,100

also i read its 1:1 for armour : spell resistance. where 1 point or armour grants 1 point of spell resistance. I think it is specifically armour not physical resitance as when i boost my physical resistance it does not affect my spell resistance.
I look it as armour grants physical resistance and spell resistance.

I apologies if i am wrong but this is what i base my excel sheet on and other sources seem to concur, but cant verfiy as console players don't see damage numbers :(

download an app called Eso Toolkit. shows you all the armour ratings , enchants ect. Not sure what you mean by spell power per armour though, unless you mean the set bonus (martial knowledge 3 & 4 piece bonus for instance). All those sets are shown on the app too though.

@Igglez cheers boss, I already have that App, its fantastic.

But I was more after something that tells me the value of each point of armour, what it protects against (damage wise) and how base armour affects spell resistance.

This is before all the various set bonuses etc
