Xbox One or Stick with PC?

I've been playing PC since release but quite a few of my RL coworkers have quit leaving me to grind it out in game alone. I'm in a good guild but honestly without my friends I've grown bored. With that said I recently purchased a Xbox One for Madden and the backward compatibility for some Red Dead down the road and I saw ESO at Gamestop and wondered how it was on that platform. Can someone who plays on Xbox or preferably someone who has played on both let me know how they feel the game and the population is there. Perhaps a new start is what i need but if the population seems low or it's better on PC I'll just try to hang in there on the computer. Any advice is appreciated.

Do the research and make sure you're leaving because you want to leave for a better situation that is for you.

That's all I can offer. The decisions needs to be one you're completely happy with

Well most people on ps4 are around vet 1-4 at the moment. At least from what i can see anyway.

It's harder to find group for end game dungeons and pledges because there is no text chat and your only option is to rely on the unreliable group finder or join a pve guild.

The UI isn't very great for an mmorpg, there no dmg numbers, enemy hp or hp %, no stamina/hp/magicka numbers or % for you.. etc... But some people like it.

Like the guy above me said it's really up to you, google the differences and maybe watch a few vids to see if it's worth it for you.

    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

I've never played on a console much as I've been playing MMOs since UO and hardly anything else lol. The initial sound of playing an MMO on the couch sounds pretty cool. I'm just curious how the community is ( Any RP at all?) especially when what research I've done points out how bad the voice chat can be. I also wonder about the population as well but I don't find a whole lot of comparison with the Xbox vs PC (perhaps megaserver masks that). Anyway just curious how others who are actually playing on console feel.

Go to my Xbox page and watch a few vids.
    That'll show some aspects.
The screenshots are actual but vids are downgraded so keep that into perspective.

I left PC for Xbox one intentionally but for my personal reasons:
    A few being
    -voice chat
    -escaping text chat boxes
    -Xbox community vs PC
-controller support outside of Xpadder and Pinnacle
-couch play (my PC has HDMI out so no changes there)

I haven't played the console versions but the main problem from what I've heard is the voice only communications. (so if you would rather not communicate by voice, your out of luck.)

Also this might not mater to you but on consoles you are usually identified in game by your account name (on Xbox your GamerTag and on PSN your PSN ID) and not your character name.

At least those are the things that make me glad that my preferred platform's version (PC) don't work that way.

One last thing, I'm assuming you don't use mods; but if you did, that would be another thing you're missing out on, on console.

I dont suggest switching to console. There is no text chat, which hinders alot in the game. No famage numbers no name plates.

But if you are willing to play it as a single player game on console, then make the switch.

Thank you all for the explanations. I think I'll stick with PC. I run some mods on pc but I really wish they weren't available. I run them to help keep up with the Jones'. The no text is a big one for me and after hearing some of you mention it, seems worse than what I've read. It also seems with no text chat, that would kill most RP. Lastly, Kloud, your right. as much as I'd like to test new waters re-earning cp sounds nasty. Hell the VR leveling alone has convinced me to stay on PC lol.

I have a perfectly good PC rig that would've been fine for ESO, but it was touted as being perfect for console. So I waited. Now I'm playing an MMO that lacks MMO features and can't do basic things like find a group, zone text chat for trading or grouping or communicate well at all. I can't customize my UI or see basic data that would help me play the game well.

I still enjoy it, but I think the game would've played better on PC. With two VR characters now, I don't see me switching. I constantly feel like I'm playing almost the best console game ever, almost.
