At present I'm PvP alliance rank 40, so have gotten 40 of the 50 possible skill points for PvP.

I have 318 skill points having completed all main quest lines in all three factions, done all the dungeons (normal, vet, and hidden bosses), taken the extra skill points from mage's guild line, and picked up all skyshards.

I don't believe that there are any others that are available, and I haven't heard of anyone with more, so for all the debates and question - here's the probable answer.

    So you've gotten the exploration skyshards, PvP skill points, all main story skill points, the skill points from the other 2 factions....

    No no I think you actually got them all (or at least until new content comes out). Or at least I think you do. Nice achievement though!

    Imperial City will add 3 more (9 skyshards) plus the skill points you will get from the new dungeons. That should put the total up to around 333 to 335.

    Seems like we're better served grinding champ points then hunting down skill points. Mindless grinding > Exploring and Achieving.

    How is it a fail that not having more skyshards doesn't make you the ultimate badass? They're essentially useless once you have enough to cover your build, just nice to have more to unlock extra stuff. 328 skill points on a 12 slot hotbar. Duh.

    You only need to do that if it's the middle of the campaign or if you're trying to keep emp. Just gotta win the race at the beginning of a campaign.

    I think if we are playing a MMO AND communicating on that MMO's forums we are ALL carrying at least little bit of "NERD"

    But yeah I have made sure I collected every point in every zone before I leave it.

    At release of the game there was a bug which allowed endless skillpoint duping. Where the duped skillpoints ever removed from the exploiters?

    The first time I was crowned, I started at 10pm on the second to last day of Chilrend reset, and was crowned around 6am.

    It's a combination of strategy, skill, and group depending on when you go for it..

    It's not a character system, it's a business model in disguise. Make grinding exp more rewarding and more powerful to your character than anything else in the game, put items in crown store to make grinding exp faster....

    It's called Freemium gaming. South Park explains it well.

    Yup. This was back when Kamikazi (DC) had been emp on Chillrend for almost 3 months, and nobody played much. Top person on the scoreboard had about 60k, which was simple to pass in a few hours!

    Only if your only goal is the "powerful character". If you're willing to grind mindlessly just to get the bits in a particular arrangement on your computer, go ahead. Meanwhile, I'll PLAY the GAME and HAVE FUN.

    There are different ways to play the game, and which you choose will depend entirely on your approach and what you want out of it.

    There probably are people with more skillpoints than the max after using the Mages guild skillpoint book on the same character multiple times after doing the quest on alts before it was nerfed i felt i should add.

    They did a while back, hence why i said "..before it was nerfed" One of my characters have got 6 extra skill points because of that hehe.
