Repeating Emperor's question ?

You guys get tired of seeing the same person get Emp over and over again ? I kind of get tired of seeing the same person get emp over an over in my own faction, I know they play a lot and have no life to get emp and I know emp farming has been an issue, I know I will never be emp and don't really care, and with the removal of former emp buffs coming up, there will be no need to farm emp any longer, just seems like they need a system that naturally spreads the love around for those person that make It to number 2 and never can catch up to be emp. Or does any one care..:)

beyond that, emp is emp for a reason, though i prefer a strong team oriented emp that can actually be a threat and force on the field

I always ALWAYS hated emp farming and trading.

id actually be more insulted if a strong and actually deserving person that made a good emp dropped for someone that was below him just because of how you feel about it, OP. Why trade down?

I was not asking for trade down, I see the leader board with a lot of people that make it to number 2 but just cant close the gap of AP, I know some good players have been EMP that worked for it, and some not so good, I don't expect anyone to give up the throne. I was just wondering if people are tired of seeing the same names getting emp all the time.

If only people could see the whispers I get. I could only imagine what meth gets.

In no way are emps being exploited on Azura's. In no way are yellow and blue working together to trade each other emp. I love fighting the group Mojican runs in because they don't send the 40 man zerg and go for the technical knock out. Strong group with a dps beast as emp, nobody on DC is exploiting for that. Also, the last few DC and AD emps have all been the same person. Last camp, whenever a DC emp got dethroned they would drop campaign and give it to the next person in line. I honestly didn't mind it because we didn't have a particularly strong emp at the time. Now that we do, no way is that happening again.

If you are Mojican the Templar on Azuras I can understand you getting hacking tells haha. I had you to 15% once chasing you around a rock and let my block drop for one second and you instagibbed me in a second from full health.

I don't really know what combination of CPs and skills/ abilities/gear you and Essa kah and the 90% of other stam templars out there who are trying to be you guys are using for that but I'm curious. There is no way you're hacking although your probably using double mundus like so many others. Whatever it is anything that can instagib someone in my setup is probably OP....but that's the name of the game these days.

To the OP, no I don't get tired of seeing the same names. #1 player should be emperor....it is a privalege that is earned and must continue to be earned, not something meant to be shared. On Volendrung after the first month or so we had one emperor....Murder Thumbs and the rest of us played out the rest of the campaign without asking for him to drop (I was #2 by the end). That is how I envision emperor to function and how it should be IMO. If an emp isnt effective he won't stsy emp forever.

I do hate seeing NB emps however....they are always the worst ones because they are almost always single target damage and don't scale nearly as well with stats as sorcs and DKs and Temps.

The largest difference between the build Essa and I run compared to most players is that we use food and dual wield for the bonus damage. Its something most people can not handle anymore due to getting spoiled by drinks. Neither of our gear is anything shocking, but we both have an above average amount of cp. I have 500 (all from pvp, at most like 20 from grinding when cp first came out), and I would guess he is probably north of 700.

It is certainly a powerful setup, but I have given my build to countless people and never seen one person be very successful with it. Not to many people can cope with 1k stamina regen in the current meta.

I agree with the OP. Emperorship is the most epic thing that I've ever achieved in a video game. I do what I can to help others get a turn at Emp and play in more than one campaign to avoid getting to the top of the leaderboard.

There are so many who deserve a turn at Emp, but will never get a chance because of one person at the top who feels that we all play ESO for their benefit.

No one "deserves" a turn at emp...it's not some kind of right. You earn the privilege to be Emp or you do not. Anything else and you're denying the person who *does* deserve to be Emp his just reward. In any solo competition there is only one winner...the rest of the competitors are losers. Thinking otherwise is one of the biggest issues with our society Today.

I resemble that remark!

In all seriousness, I tend to consider NB emps among the worst options out there. As much fun as it's been as emp the dozen odd times I've had it, the area damage a GOOD dps player of another class can pump out (other than the tornado spam) is so much better for a group..

Furthermore, some players lose-out on AP because they do things to further faction goals (e.g. running two siege instead getting AP for defending against gankers). I've seen emperors crowned because they chose to farm AP instead of help with assaults on enemy keeps.

As for societal issues, I think that you are over-reaching to emphasize your point.

The Emperor is a faction effort that rewards the player who contributed the most to that effort as measured by the game-side performance indicators and yes it is very much a solo competition since there is no reigning oligarchy. Part of the reason I was excited to play ESO is because of the whole "1 Emperor" concept. I never for a minute though I'd actually be that person and was happy to have to chance to be Emperor but it wasn't given to me and I worked for it.

Now the entire faction benefits from crowning an emperor by gaining the Emperor buff and that is a sufficient reward for everyone and there will always be players who have no desire or chance to compete for emperor who will happily operate siege.

While I agree everyone who can should experience being Emperor, I don't think it should be passed around until everyone has had a go at it.

Our society does have an issue where it is trying to convince us all that "Everyone's a winner" when in real life that just isn't the case. But I digress and I'll let that point drop.

Well a Stamblade Emp can do insane dps with steel tornado tho...

Imo all classes can be equally good Emps, it just need the right player with the right build.

If you got a ban before, there was more then just people reporting you. There was proof that you were cheating.

Every time I've been crowned I've tried a new build idea, and within a few minutes have gone back to the stacking stamina and weapon damage for the batnado build. It does do a lot of damage, though in my experience leading groups I've found that other classes can do more damage much more efficiently / quickly in most contexts. Nightblades are more single target focused. None of our abilities are particularly strong against large groups of opponents - we have to rely on weapon skill lines and ults. In pre-1.6, when ults were generated based on crit, the batnado build was godly.

Assuming equal skill in the top 5% of players, my personal preference for an emperor to do DAMAGE as of current patch is:

Stam Templar > Magic Sorc > Stam NB > Magic DK > Stam DK > Stam Sorc > Magic Templar > Magic NB

Again this is my personal preference, having played with all of them. Once the patch hits, things will be different.

If you got a ban before, there was more then just people reporting you. There was proof that you were cheating.

If you are banned for hacking it is always permanent with no second chances. I got tells all the time from people in a guild I regularly destroyed that they were all reporting me for "hacking". Months later they finally found a GM with a sympathetic ear who banned me with no evidence. After 3 days of being banned " permanently" I got them to admit that did not indeed have any evidence of me hacking and they unbanned me and credited my time back.... So no you're wrong on that one.

Yeah that sounds about right in Today's meta. NBs have never compared to a good sorc Emp.

I wasn't aware of that being a bug/exploit.. I've fallen through the floor of a keep (usually on back flag) a few times, and was never able to do damage - or get hit while down there.

Yeah I encountered him this last week on the front porch of Nickel spamming Steel Tornadoes and raking in the AP from noobs who didn't realize what was hitting them. Pretty poor tactics.
