Does anyone know what the "Listening" thing is in character stats?

Yesterday when checking my character stats for my new vr14 DK, I noticed this "Listening" thing. It has a timer of 49k days. Does anyone know what this is?

    I've had some weird buffs pop up too, and some of them I never did figure out, lol.
    Maybe some day ESO will have better tool-tips :smile:

    This buff is associated with DC's quest, IIRC in Bangkorai, where you are supposed to eavedrop and you get this passive 'Listening' and sometimes it bugs out like this. Usually fixes just by /reloadui or relog.

    When you hit VR14 in game you get a real life buff of living +150 years. This is just their way of thanking you. Welcome to true current Gen :)

    Perhaps it's an unintentional glitch showing up from the unreleased Dark Brotherhood quest line, where upon player completion, you become "The Listener" for the Night Mother.

    Tell us, have you heard soft whispers while quietly harvesting in Craglorn, instructing you to toggle the harm innocents switch in settings, and to put an end to that Breton merchant who always harasses the Khajiit at the Belkarth Wayshrine? (Look, I'm gonna lose my shirt here...)

    Actually it's isn't only related to DC, it happened to me in Coldharbour while on my EP Nightblade. Few quests must be using.

    Hahahah...I love the humorous answers to this thread. Thanks everyone for your witty replies. Just FYI, the "buff" disappeared when I logged that character off. I was questing in Bangkorai and did the one where you have to eavesdrop, so @Runaan must be right.

    FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
    FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
    FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
    FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
