Yes. But I spent too much time there. I'm looking forward to when we can dye our shields, and weapons too (hopefully). The dye system in ESO is close to the best you'll find in any MMO. They did well implementing it.

Hmm, maybe we could have the looking for group tool be adapted to group characters based on their dye colour schemes? It may have more success in getting players together than in it's current state.

It's one of the better games I've played where you could dye your armor.

The dye stations are the one aspect of the game which have convinced me to go achievement hunting. I love receiving tangible rewards for doing fun things. While I might have gone boss hunting in Public Dungeons and filling out zones for quest dyes and locating all the sight seeing spots on the map, these gave me a real incentive for doing so. They even got me to go to Cyrodil and I usually live in perpetual terror of PvP.

    Nicely done, ZoS.

Just wait until you see the best black dye, it only takes pvp rank 37 to get..

The Daedric Red is also worth getting, you just need to do a lot of Dolmen in the right zones.

I love the purpose of the stations.. if only it was bright enough to actually SEE what colors I'm about to dye my armor. Darkness and shadow everywhere, and if there's any light, it comes from the wrong direction (what is a light source doing behind my butt, please?!).

The stupid thing is, I've only just discovered them, at VR3, like wtf. No longer does my character look like a tree stump. I love how they work, I love how they don't cost gold, and I love how a little colour completely changes the look of your outfit. Praise dye stations everywhere in Tamriel!

Hmm, how does that differ from the ash black you get in Coldharbour? (it's under the Rare category)

I love the dye stations too, although I tend to pick a distinctive colour set for each of my characters and stick with it. Of course, whenever I replace a piece of gear that involves a quick trip to the nearest dye station!

Most will disagree, but I would personally prefer the dye unlocks to be character-based, not account-wide. I like my characters to make their own achievements, it's part of the fun of running alts.

Some achievements, yeah. But I'm glad the dyes are account-wide. Starting a new alt can be boring, so at least making them look awesome from level 1 is a blessing.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I love that we can dye our armour but it's extremely frustrating that even the ones outside in very bright, sunny location seem to get you standing in the one patch of shadow in the whole area.

I'm surprised so many people are surprised by it though. I've never played an MMO that didn't let you dye your armour. Even Ultima Online had that option back in the 90's.

Coldharbor ash has a matt dark grey hue to it, Legate black is a deep semi-shiny black. I met a guy during a dungeon run a while back and his daedric robe looked so much better with legate black than it does with coldharbor ash.

Too bad the requirements to get it are insanely high..

Lol, we have pink raids pretty often. Some guild officers wont leave base until everyone is dyed in pretty pink, its a lovely color for dangerous warriors ofc.

The one thing I don't like about them is that there isn't a station in Davon's Watch. And I don't get why. It's the ONLY major city/town without one.

Davon's Watch is also the only major town instantly available to level 3 characters. Tradeoffs.

I used to dye everything, Now I like to look at the raw look first and spot die. It does help to have a large selection.
