Nobody is asking for special characters in names (even though many characters I can't write on my keyboard are already allowed thanks to French and German translations). We just want to be able to use them in chat, for example in national guilds.CheeseDivinity wrote: »I understand people wanting these weird characters in their name, but I find them utterly annoying. That goes hand in hand with translation though. You have to translate the game in order for it to recognize those symbols.

Then they should actually just restrict the characters available for use in character creation.

Why restrict anything in the char selection? That has nothing to do with the OPs request.
