Just been working on my new Stamina Sorc build for Update 7... yes that says 5k+ for weapon damage with nearly 40k in Stamina.

Steel Tornado hits for 16k... all... day... long! :D

    Before we all jump up and down and declare stam sorc the new meta for everyone, a few questions.

    Have you actually tested this in PvP against other players? Can you take hits and survive?

    Crit surge no longer heals on DOTs. Does this solve the issue with the terrible cooldown?
    Is it still ridiculously expensive for a stam build?

    Is Dark Deal better as a 1s cast time heal than it was as a clunky 4s channel?

    Does this build require every skill but steel tornado to be a sorc class skill (for the passive).

    This might work great for huge zergball spammers in PvP but im not sure its a viable soloing build.

    Seems like a decent PvE output though i think you would need some more HP for the harder content.
    For PvP the regen lacks way too much behind to achieve anything in a fight over 30 seconds, unless you can make all the heavy attacks in between work (which i highly doubt).

    Looks cool, but you might be a piece of cracked glass with just a sharp pointy end in PVP. I'm mostly the glass in PVP so I can speak from this standpoint lol. The 5K damage is a big turn on for lots of people, but tripping in the grass and shattering into millions of deadric pieces isn't so much fun.

    Basically a glass cannon melee limited sorc who can maybe bolt escape 2x before being out of magicka and has no damage shields. Yeah, Stam sorc OP, lets get it nerfed before it even hits live.

    This is a good start for stam sorcs but its very much a rough draft, there are several key components missing such as survivability and resource management and I have listed them in the linked post.

    This is so ridiculous lol. Here comes the sorc one shot. This game is really really dying and just getting worse. How about some freaking fixes not more brokenness. Oh wait that's impossible for you guys. Yall need to do some outside hiring asap or this game is done. FIX YOUR FREAKING GAME!!!!

    As @Yolokin_Swagonborn said, this is a gimmick build that would only be good for clearing trash mobs in a group or solo. It isn't even good for a PVP bomb group because you rely on having to land consecutive light attacks to buff your weapon damage to these high levels.

    Lol I guess you haven't talked to many sorcs who play on the pts. This is just some Numbers I understand that. But talk to some high level PVP sorcs about what IC is going to be like. Their all laughing. One shots will still be happening. They need to bring back soft caps

    Surge:
    • Increased the duration of this ability by 50%.
    • Reduced the cost of this ability by 24%.
    • The healing from this ability no longer procs off damage over time effects.
    • Reduced the cooldown on the healing proc to 100 milliseconds from 250 milliseconds.

    Someone test this please. Preferable in a PvE situation so all the solo'ers can find out if they can solo elite mobs again.

    Hi guys we are going to decrease damage done in cyrodiil by an X amount of % ~

    Yo we forgot to add that we are about to introduce new sets and skill reworks so your *insert* ability which used to hit for 6k in PvP, now is going to hit for 16k!

    We have also noticed a huge increase of people complaining about multiple groups stacking on top of eachother and spamming purge to be invincible to nearly everything, so we decided to add new armor sets to also give AoE damage shields so these groups become invincible to everything!

    By the looks of the OP, he is using molag kena to reach that weapon power, wich then causes him to drain resources fast and in prolonged fights, that kinda regeneration will leave you dry in the wind, ready to kill you (pvp)

    Still, very impressive stats.

    Imperial City only makes getting high weapon damage easier, thus making everyone stronger even with the Battle Spirit changes. Providing they either purchase Imperial City DLC or buy the gear from Guild Stores.

    The damage reduction increase makes under-geared players less stronger than pre-patch and well geared players even stronger than they were before the patch. Wonderful, itemisation is "fixed" everyone, nothing to see here.

    "Itemization" was just a gear grab to make everyone grind all the mats and gear again, do all the undaunted dailies again, to help thicken out the content and make it last longer.

    The two new +spell damage and +weapon damage sets look awfully like Martial Knowledge and Morag Tong. Instead of forcing you to grind to get a V16 Knowlege set, they alter it slightly so you feel like you are getting brand new gear but we all know its going to be 4pc spell/weapon damage set, helmet/shoulders set, and some 4pc ring set.

    We are no better off than we were with martial knowlege and morag tong at v14, but now is all new and shiny.

    Itemization!!!!!!

Assuming you're stacking weapon damage sets, you seem to be using at least 4 pc sheer venom with at least 1 pc molag kena. This gives room for another 2pc which I assume would be used to add another wep damage bonus. Now I have no idea how good the wep/spell damage glyphs are next patch because I couldn't get my hands on any, but the numbers just don't seem realistic.

    The wep damage is believable but the spell damage isn't, and the only possible way I see you getting that much is off that kena proc.

    Also you're incorrect. I have two actions bars, one with one weapon, one with two.

    Basically this translates to me having three to four flex slots. I'm using three and four piece armor master whilst keeping Major armor and Major spell resist buffs up I have over 21k MR and 20k AR. On live I'll just use Torug's Pact or Song of Lamae for the 2piece armor and 3piece MR.

    I'm even using that terrible "mini" jewellery set, I think ZoS is forcing all jewellery to only be those mini-sets? None is scaling up?

    Molag Kena is not really good sadly, UNLESS you found a skill that you can spam and it procs through. >la>skill>la molag proc

    but that stamina lol, what sets are you wearing?


    And i would not call it new meta, its nice to see that Stam sorc has finally to offer smth now, but my guess isDK>Temp>Sorc=NB or DK>Temp=Sorc=NB

    Looks interesting, I was actually wanting to make a stam sorc, and didn't know how to go about it, so this should give me some good ideas.

    Good feedback, love the discussion so thanks.

    Done some tweaking and boosted the Mitigation and the Stamina Recovery. The weapon damage here is without the 20% buff from say pots or skills, no mundus selected and the Molag Kena proc. Molag Kena procs on two light attacks so with dual swords you would need to be in melee range so didn't factor that in this time. You can see the set pieces I'm using which is pretty basic and I'm sure it could be tweaked a lot better so keen to see what other people can come with for Stamina Sorc in Update 7!
