Ok, so I know Evermore is messed up. Now I can't find anyone in Wayrest... Help?

    OK, I found him.
But part of the reason I took so long is that I presumed I had to log in log out, re-enter, etc. all this stuff because so much is bugged.

OMG! Thank you for this post! I was just trying to complete this and I can not find them anywhere in Wayrest, Elden Root, and one other place that I can't think of at the moment. I thought it was just me. It was driving me Crazy!!

Wayrest = at the Undaunted "caravan" directly (west) outside of the city. His name is something "Rock" and he's aboy 8 foot tall or 2 metres 40!!!

    Elden Root (not there yet)

Evermore = (bugged), apparently you can get the person (female?) after a server reset. I tried it once and saw a glitch of her then gone! It is NOT the arena star warrior lying on the table, but she's in that room, near the entrance door.

No, it's the Argonian. Some days he won't talk to me about getting drunk, other days he'll take my money happily. Argonians are weird.

Which Argonian? The one who is bugged and doesn't show up on PS4 or another Argonian!?

He's got a ring on one of his horns... I'd need to log in to check his name.

Because, if you're not on PS4 and you assumed when I said "female" it could not be the one, then I going with "it's bugged on PS4".

No Argonian in the whole pub - Anchor's Point Inn.

It should be this guy, Slays-by-Moon.

I can't check to make sure I'm not thinking of someone else, because I don't have a Covenant character who hasn't gotten him sloshed. So I just get his dungeon dialog.

    Yep, it's bugged.

You don't use PS4 do you?

He's simply not there and I bumped into a glitch of him once after a server reset - but in my confusion thought it was a female Argonian - likely due to me associating the pub to the Orc Arena warrior.

Yeah, no, if I was on PS4, you wouldn't see all those UI elements, like multiple active quests, my long term buffs, or the fact that at level 37 he has 10,088 hp.

EDIT: I am sorry I can't be of more help, though. But, that's the guy to aim for when he bolts for the door.

Apparently on the PS4 build, he's coded to attack pickpocketers, which will get him to leave the tavern to fight someone in Evermore... except, once he goes through the door, he never reappears anywhere.

I got the one in evermore a few days ago. I stole something upstairs and went downstairs again and then Slays-by-Moon appeared. I am on xbox one if that helps.

Yeah, it was rethorical. I really appreciate you confirming the issue for me though, thanks.

As you are obviously experience, can you tell me what the outcomes, pros/cons are about the werewolf questline.

    1. Find the guy and I presume you start a werewolf skill line like a zillion other players in the game (ending the quest?).
    2. Go to a priest and end the quest, receiving no alternative benefit.
(if so can you revert either decision later?)

Getting turned is a single quick quest. You go out to the shrine, you'll have a map marker for it. You do a quick quest, and then you're a werewolf. You have a new skill line, and as you kill things as a wolf, you get more powerful, and turn into a hulking engine of destruction on cue.

It's got a bit of a learning curve, so don't expect to be awesome from the moment you get it. But it can make your life a lot easier.

If you decide you don't like it later, you can go find that priest any time and get yourself cured. Though you'll need a skill respec before you can actually get the skill points you spent on the wolf line back.

If you decide to go to the priest... you can't really revert it. You'd just need to get infected again, starting the quest over, and then going out to the shrine, and so on.

Honestly, unless there's a roleplaying reason, or you want to be a vampire, there isn't a real reason not to be a wolf. The stamina regen buff for simply being a wolf is going away with the next patch (and might already be gone from consoles). (Technically it'll still be there, but you'll need to have the ultimate equipped to get it.)

So, short answer? It's fun, go for it. You can always get cured later.

Actually, fun trivia, I've got the werewolf master achievement on that vampire. She used to be a rank 10 wolf. So, yeah, it really is possible to reverse your decisions there.

I want to get the Platinum trophy for PS4, so I'd have to max out both vampire and werewolf to do it - not that I'll make Emperor anyway!!!!

The thing is - and it's not this game but many - Platinum trophies not only require a great mix of diversity, time, skill, etc. and are a real challenge but they often have contradictory or "bad" trophies which I think is a bit counterproductive. Yeah, a lot can be fun, but I don't like the "die 10 times on this map" type trophy.
I'd rather there was a trophy for maxing out the non-were, non-vamp line. I'm a Templar and modelled ny character on various Paladin/Knights Templat types. She's pure and could've had a vampire/werewolf slayer skill line!

For what it's worth, you could max out the werewolf and vampire lines on different characters. So far as I know, the PS4 trophy doesn't require everything to be done on a single character.

Yeah, I thought about that, therein lies just one problem. I was so overjoyed when I found out that I can complete all the other alliance areas with my primary and it is for the same reason. I don't really want to start over.

Again, thanks for your expertise and advice, much appreciated. I'll consider all of it. Right now I'm leaving the quest/decision open.
