Suggestion for Rite of Passage (and Morphs): Overload style healing skill.

Suggestion for Rite of Passage, as well as the Morphs.

Make it like overload, toggle-able Ultimate skill which, instead of being focused on killing will be used for healing.
The light attack will fire a very small AOE (about half the size of the Purifying Light skill's heal) which will do 1 single burst heal at the spot it landed.
The heavy attack will do an AOE style healing, in a similar fashion as the overload heavy attack deals damage.

For the Morphs:
One could get a healing bonus and bigger range for the heavy attack, like what the Overload Morph "Power Overload" gives.
The other Morph could make the Heavy attack also affect the caster (as you are behind the skill, rather than in it)

Why this suggestion?
The current Rite of Passage (and Morphs) are pretty useless. Although it is a Strong heal, the fact that it has the AOE cap, and thus affects so little people makes it a pretty useless skill for Larger Group activities (using it in Trails gets your team killed).
The Rooting makes it also pretty useless in faster paced combat, like PvP or High damage situations.

Using it means you can't move or follow your group, meaning that a "1 hit skill" can't be dodged without stopping the healing (you're immune to effects, not damage) and if in PvP your group is advancing and retreating they will most likely walk about of the heal without hardly being healed.

I have no problem with being damaged when using rite of passage. I use it when on flags everyone is grouped up on it. Extra 15k armour boost I never take damage. If I'm hit by ballista I'll purge straight after. I do like your ideas especially if it gives a third bar like the Mages get then I can put all healing onto that and have more offensive abilities.

In general i don't have any problems either when getting hit while using Rite of passage. There are however moments where you will have a problem, which was why i talked about 1 hit attacks (not general damage).
For me personally a Fire Ballista can be a bane, because i'm a vampire. Most of the times you can dodge fire damage (main reason i don't have any added fire protection), but once i start channeling Rite of Passage I become an easy target.
(This is very situational though, and more or less a personal problem rather than a public problem. It is however a very easy example i can give when it comes to a problematic 1 hit situation.)

Besides the idea of the 3rd bar i also posted it for the option of more control when it comes to healing.
The only controlled healing you have is when you pick up a restoration staff. Healing springs for a aimed long range heal, and Blessing of protection for a close range heal. Close to all Templar heals are Smart heals, meaning you can't aim them.
The only few heals you have which aren't smart heals are Rite of Passage and Cleansing Ritual, of which the second is more of a cleansing tool rather than a healing skill.

Having a Controllable healing skill without the need of a Restoration staff might be a good thing for the Templars. Having just a single skill slotted for healing (with the 3rd bar for other optional healing skills) could make the Templars more versatile than they are now.
