So yeah, my title pretty much sums up what I'm after. I want a decently survivable pve build on a class that's not overly complex and that won't have to rely on sending supplies over from another character (just started playing the game yesterday)

    Dragonknights are pretty versatile and can be built to fill any role including hybrid. They have some decent defensive moves and buffs to improve survivability along with a range of offensive moves. They have dragons blood and its green dragon blood morph which is a self heal, an armor buff in spiked armor and a load of fire based offensive moves such as Firey breath and lava whip (they mix well with dark elves because of the fire buff). In my humble opinion they can do everything you ask with the least amount of effort.

    Also this isn't my personal biased as i love "rouge/not optimal" builds my current project is a sorcerer ninja build.
    Hope that helps.

    Sorcerers are good starting class, you get to select a pet, unstable scamp (upgradable to clanfear later) which can be used as a tank to keep the Argo off you. I would suggest selecting the scamp at level 2.

    The clanfear heals you for 33% of Max health when killed or dismissed which is very useful as well

    Templar.

    Your main attack heals you. What else do you need? It's an easy button for PvE.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    I personally think Sorcerer is a great all around class. The spec I use is mainly for soloing most PvE content (non-dungeon of course), which includes just about all of the world bosses that I've come across (currently only V1).

    I pretty much use the following spec, for my main bar at least (second bar is for messing around with close quarters vampire stuff):
    http://esoacademy.com/builds/war-locked-down/

    Edit: One thing it doesn't show is that I morphed Daedric Curse into Explosive Curse, which increases pet dmg by 30% and your Greater Storm Atronachby 20% to the cursed target. Same goes for the Conjured Ward, I morphed that into Empowered Ward for another +30% pet dmg while the ward holds.

    I'm sure it's not an optimal rotation, but I do the following:

    Prep (when I first log in, or enter a new zone)
    * Summon Unstable Clannfear
    * Summon Twilight Matriarch
    * Turn on Inner Light

    Battle
    * Conjure Ward (pre shield, incase they hit me right away)
    * Daedric Curse on mob
    * Heavy Staff attack x2
    * Repeat previous 3 steps until all mobs are dead.

    If it's a large group OR boss, I will also toss in the Ultimate (Greater Storm Atronach) right after I buff myself with the Conjure Ward.

    I pretty much maxed out the passives in my Summoning tree, since they help buff my pets. So I just let them go to town on the mobs, while I sit back and enjoy the show.
