Traded items not received

coolboot7-OG-
I made a trade with a friend of mine yesterday for some tempering alloys. I gave 16 dreugh wax up for 11 tempering alloys. The messed up thing is that, when the trade went through; it gave my friend the dreugh wax, but I did not receive the tempering alloys that were in the trade window. I have already contacted support about this, but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it can be prevented.

Never happened to me friend But I can sympathize. That's definitely a glitch and should be corrected once support gets ahold of it.

I would, examine my friendship. In a direct trade, scammers have been known to remove the item before hitting the trade at just the right time to make it appear to be being traded.

He is a good friend, but after the fact I immediately checked with someone else in a trade and there is a two second timer after removing an item. we both put the items in and I hit accept; then he hit accept. Had he removed the item while I had my offer accepted the game would automatically null out my offer and make me wait 2 seconds to re offer.

Yea definitely sounds like a bug. Hopefully they resolve your issue soon.

No.. but when you started reading the forums in November 2013 and played in Beta, you have seen the problem and seen it addressed by ZoS before. I cant find the statement, but back right after launch, the official answer to this transaction problem, and also the email and then refusing to pay scam, was, "Thats why we created the guild auction house platform, to protect both sides." At the time, people had an exploit, that I hope was fixed, where, by hitting certain buttons, they could take their stuff out, and complete the transaction AFTER the other player had completed the trade.

Now, my question to the OP would be, did the other guy loose his 11 tempering alloys? If, so, you BOTH need to put in a bug report. ZoS actually keeps logs on those transactions, which would only be read if there were a problem like this.

And this is exactly what happened here.

So they looked into the matter and decided to give me my dreugh wax back. However I lost 16 and was returned one by a game master. Honestly eso needs to get their stuff straight.
