Leveling alchemy 9-50 at VR3

I didn't alchemy early in the game as I was worried about having enough skill points for combat skills. I'm at VR3 and starting to level alchemy. It's going quickly enough but I'm having a really hard time finding enough water that's level 20/30/etc. I know it'll give more inspiration with higher level water but all the guild stores are selling vr level water. Any suggestions? I'm level 18 right now but only have water to craft level 10 potions. Thanks.

Go back to an early zone, find a river or so and get the water there

That's what i ended up doing. Shadowfen is the area for level 20 water and on my first trip i couldn't find any. It was nothing but swampland, but then i remembered that a river runs along the north east side of the map. Problem solved. Still, i'd prefer to just but the stuff but there's none in any guild stores.

    1. Go to guild store
    2. search for water
    3. profit

I lvl alchemy 1-50 in like 20 min. You only need like 50-60 waters of each level.

Oddly enough i went to every guild store in EP plus coldharbour and none had level 20 water. I eventually just went and got it myself which only yielded about 30. I started alchemy yesterday. It took a few minutes to learn all the traits and then i just cranked out whatever i had with cheap reagents. Took me about 30 minutes to get from level 9-36. I'm out of water again but should have no problem getting to 50 tonight after work.

Go to the public dungeon of a zone that is roughly around the the level of your solvent proficiency. Most of the urns or other lootable nodes have a ton of water to be found, including water skins. Best part is they respawn quickly.

Took me about 30 minutes to get from level 9-36. I'm out of water again but should have no problem getting to 50 tonight after work.

FYI, once you unlock the last passive, there is no need to grind the skill to 50. Just making potions for yourself will get you the rest of the way in due time. In fact, you only have to go high enough to unlock the Solvent for your level.

Heck, I took an Alchemist from 40 to 50 just doing writs. It took a little while but I could make everything I needed to in the meantime.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

You need lvl 50 to unlock the 3rd Medicinal Use. Very important for potions builds.
