Why don't we have the same as the pc version where it tells us how much XP we need and what we are getting?

    Pc has addons

Personally i really wish console got a ui upgrade or at very least option to have damage/healing numbers.

I seem to be the only person who doesn't mind nor having addons.

Pc gameplay looks so messy with numbers swirling all over the screen.

We should have the choice to edit what add ons we want though they should just add a few to give us more of an option

I would like to be able to see my damage/healing numbers. because there are so many "hidden" things you don't know about no matter how much theory crafting and builds your read up on. bugs, misconception, or just secrets
I didnt realise my stealth attack from bow/range (despite being a 30-50% higher damage skill on tooltip) would still hit for less than my melee skill, because of a hidden multiplier that i haven't seen talked about ever.

i suspected but could not prove molten weapons on a DK doesnt effect the starves despite what the tooltip/description reads.at the moment it only effects non magical weapons

the %buffs added from champion points dont appear on the tooltip for a few weapons. so how do i know what is most effective if i cant compare the options for myself.

but i guess they see console as just a bunch of casuals.

PC players can see XP values by hovering over the XP bar - that doesn't require add-ons. You can't do that on console because there is no mouse pointer to "hover" with, but I agree that there should be some equivalent.

How would this happen on console considering what doesn't exist relating to UI changes and no cursor without sacrificing functionality?

idk about the rest but I don't need an add on telling me im doing more dps than someone else when I see the hp bar drop fast once I start in on the mobs or anything like that. plus if I want to know round about how much xp I need I know that each cp is 400k xp so adding up how many cp I get in an hr or whatever can tell me how much xp I am getting

Edit: im not one for caring about exact numbers as long as it gets the job done

You navigate the menu using the left stick, so theoretically you could push the left stick all the way to the "top", at which point the XP would be highlighted like a menu option, and you'd press A (Xbox) to select it. Then a window pops up similar to the Character screen attribute display with
    Veteran Rank 1: <xx>/850,000
    Champion Rank 23: <yy>/400,000
A similar thing could happen on highlighting the Alliance Rank in the Alliance War screen, or the Skill Rank in the Skills screen. For the Mages Guild line, for example, consoles don't get the tooltip that says "Mages Guild rank is increased by gaining reputation. Earn reputation by finding lorebooks." Highlighting and selecting the Mages Guild Rank bar would make this text appear and show you how far through it you are.

Alternatively to highlighting, it could be a context action; if, for example, LB (Xbox) does nothing currently in the menu, you'd press that for XP, and if Y (Xbox) does nothing currently, you'd press that while in a Skill to pop up the skill bar progress and tooltip, or while in the Allance War screen to pop up your current Alliance Rank AP progress.

Ok so the character menu already exists. You just go to it on console.
Wouldnt it be a lot easier just to include the character level in the character sheet with the exp numeric or a % to next level?

I don't think any navigation is needed

While that would be nice I desperately want damage, healing, shield and buff indicators way more than a numeric indicator for XP.

We can't have those because they're not "innovative". They would also break my immersion, even if such indicators were optional. Just their presence in the bottom of the options menu, that I never use, would make me return the game and cancel my subscription.
Knee Jerk, L2P, Obtuse, Casual, Entitled, All The Best, unnecessary mention of CoD

Options are bad , you should only play as others want you to play even if they would never know if you saw something different.

Lol. So true. Wouldn't want to ruin that ole immersion like all those top PC streamers who run add ons just so they can see what the hell they're doing.

Sarcasm aside for a moment, it is seriously hilarious when ZOS cries immersion when literally all the popular streamers run add-ons to give them basic MMO functionality.

Sorry if I was misleading, this is a way that it could be implemented, not something that exists right now.
