Treasure Maps ?

What happened to the treasure maps, they have all been changed to CE and they are all now bound. That makes them pretty well useless since I can't send them to my characters in other Alliances.

Keep it kind of stuff up ESO and I'll be out of here in a heartbeat.

You should be able to deposit those into your bank...

They can be placed in your bank ;-)

Then other character can remove from bank. ;-)

is it the individual map you place in the bank or the container containing all the maps?

This wasn't the case on the last PTS build. And it's not the case on live, for PC. What system are you on?

I have moved all my maps from those containers thru the bank and onto a mule. And yes the individual maps say bound (account bound not character)

Just tested the current PTS build on PC... that, might have been redundant, anyway, moving on. The CE maps are bound, but they can be deposited into the bank. The containers are still character bound and can't be deposited. But it's always been that way.

Xbox One here...

I'm on Xbox. I took all the maps out of the container at once because I didn't realize that they would eat up all my inventory space. Attempting to put them into the bank to clear up space failed because they are bound.

The maps are not in containers they have been taken out of the containers. I have had some of these maps since day one when I bought the collectors edition. In fact I just recently sent one to another character I made in another alliance. All the maps I now have have had their names changed to CE except the ones in AD which is the alliance the maps on my character are on.

So as of now all the maps I have are useless, what a joke. So if you buy the upgrade that comes with the maps you're screwed.

I wonder if ZOS would care to comment on this or should I send a ticket which probably won't be answered.

Forgot to mention I'm on a PC not console.

Just tested it on live. I'm not seeing it. My CE maps are still CE, my numbered maps are still numbered. My numbered maps aren't bound. My CE maps are, but can be deposited in the bank...

It's starting to look like you might need to open that ticket.

Just opened it and did a relog but that didn't work either.

You are trying to deposit into your shared bank, right? Because you can't deposit any bound items into a guild bank.

Yep, shared bank. I can deposit them there but I can't send them to my other characters on my second account.

They are account bound so you cant send them to a diff account

You weren't able to. You may have sent a regular treasure map, but you definitely didn't send one of the ones that came from the pre-order, or from the crown store pack. It's flat-out not possible, and it has never been possible.

The numbered maps aren't bound. You can send those whenever. the CE maps are bound, and have always been bound. Those can't be sent, and never could.

So, either you're remembering which treasure maps you had incorrectly, or you've got a weird bug that converted your numbered maps into CE maps... which I think is much less likely.

Or it was a weird bug that turned your CE maps into numbered ones, temporarily. They should have always been marked CE if they came out of the containers.
