I'm a V9 and just been going through the levels trying to get to the elusive V14 rank. However one of my buddies told me it's basically all for nothing, reason being is once you get to V14 champion points take forever to gain. He then followed by saying Id be better off making a separate character and farming its champion points for my already existing character. Now eventually I may make a new character but only to have another usable character for PVP not to farm its points. Please tell me if this is really the case or can you have a dominant V14 without farming champion points from a separate character... HELP!!!!

There are plenty of ways to farm champion points, aoe farming zombies seems to be the most popular way, but there are loads of ways. I personally like Dragonstar Arena.1 -

✭✭Your friend exaggerated a bit. The difference is that you gain a bit more XP for killing monsters at or slightly above your level compared to killing monsters below your level. That means you will have a slightly higher rate while leveling/grinding in level appropriate zones. At V14, your best bet is Cyrodiil, since NPCs there are V12. Coming patch, upper craglorn may catch up a bit with those being V13 and kill xp nerf from a couple patches ago will be partially retracted.
Long story short: you can grind out CP with a V14 just fine. May be slightly slower than with a lower level char, but not impossible, especially since your kill speed may be quite a bit higher with a V14.Edited by Leandor on August 20, 2015 1:46PM0 -
