Do surveys in inventory block other surveys

So, I'm trying to get some nirncrux and I have a wood and a cloth survey in my bag at the moment. I would like to know if I should wait to open other writ reward bags until I use these surveys. I'm guessing these surveys are unique items, so will opening another wood or clothing writ reward bag give me worse odds of getting surveys since I already have some? For example, If I have Craglorn wood survey 1, is it impossible for any other writ reward bags to drop Craglorn wood survey 1, and what happens to then?

No, having surveys in your inventory has no effect on the random generation of the Writ Bag rewards. What happens is the Writ and other items appear in the Writ Bag but the survey map cannot be extracted into your inventory. The Writ Bag then stays in your inventory with the map inside until you remove the existing map in the inventory by clearing the survey zone or disposing of it some other way.

The worst that happens is you get an error message that says you can't have more than one unique item in inventory. It just stays in the container at that point. Unless you toss the container, then the survey map is in there waiting for you.

Now, if your like me and collect surveys to do a bunch at once, here is how you do it. Open the Map to find the location and set the nodes, then go harvest them. Once you do that, walk or run far enough away that you don't have line of site to the survey location, open the container and take out the next map and activate it. If you went far enough away, the new nodes will be there when you walk back. You don't have to go too far, but far enough that you can see the survey location itself. It is probably far enough to generate a cell load, but I don't notice those on the PC.

Note, you just usually have to have the map in inventory to get the nodes to show up, but often enough, I have had to activate the map, so I suggest that.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
