I've not only found it EXTREMELY hard to find a guild in the EU server for english (99% of recruiters are german every day) but i was shocked to see that the US server had 141 pages for example of guild posts but the EU ENG only had 14... 14! i mean wtf is going on? there are more german guilds than english and that's just wrong. What did all english speaking EU players go to the US server or something because it's freaking depressing

Honestly yes, that's a fairly common trend in mmo's for years. Especially if there is an East Coast option for the server hosting in some cases.

UK players if they have to hit servers on mainland EU often choose to play on US servers because East Coast pings are going to be comparable to their pings to an EU server , combined with usually a larger population etc for the long term.

Im just going to make an educated guess, but I think the NA servers include both US and Canada, where english is the prominant language (im assumeing english is prminant in canada), so that is two large countries with english as a main language.

    Just an opinion though.

Yeah, I wish I had known about most UK players going to the NA servers before I began my new character and after ploughing some crowns into the aforementioned character.

Another issue I have with the EU servers, all factions start of really populated, however, 3rd or 4th area in (barring Riften it seems), the main city hubs are dead. I just seem to run into German and French players when out questing those areas too.

And all this because they were too lazy to make a worldwide mega server and their instance option checklist like they said, now if i go US server i've lost my clouded senche mount, not even a option to transfer, ESO devs such soo hard...

    Hey mate,

    He's talking about here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/en-pc-mac-eu .

As per OP, yes this is not only with ESO, but a large proportions of mmorpg. Even PC and Xbox guild have this discrepancy between NA and EU guild posts.

Happens in DCUO as well mate. Although there you're talking about three or four leagues out of a hell of a lot more.

Although my PSN is EU bound, I chose the NA servers to play ESO on due to the ping....a trace route shows my traffic goes from NZ to Aus to the US, then various places in the EU before finally getting to the EU server.

It's a no-brainer to decide to cut out the excess legs really.

the only thing putting me off the NA servers on any MMO is the TZ's, if a raid on NA starts at 8pm thats 1am GMT to me, impossible and if its 8PM Western time then thats 3am, so its just not possible to raid or do most group content.
