Recent bugs, no response. Anyone else getting these?

So I've been encountering the following bugs, one just really annoying and the other practically making my game unplayable. I've reported the second one (and so has my husband who is experiencing the same thing on his computer) but thus far no response.

Bug #1: Suddenly, for no apparent reason, I'm unable to type in the chat box. I have to reload UI to fix it, generally by going to my add-ons setting and disabling one of them. This corrects the problem but it takes time out as I wait for load screens and, of course, I lose everything anyone else had posted. EXTREMELY annoying during role-play. My husband experiences this bug as do various other members of my guild.

Bug #2: When running using the W key I will suddenly not be able to alter my direction with my mouse. If I take my finger OFF the W key I can THEN move with my mouse again but my character will often (not always, but often) continue to run forward a couple of steps even after I take my finger off the W key. Using the A and D keys while running using the W key will also "break" the forward only trajectory but I have to do it constantly. The only "fix" seems to be logging completely out of the game and the bug is prone to returning at random. When this is happening, as you can imagine, combat is completely hopeless. This is massively hindering my progression.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? If so, have you reported it and received any response with a suggested fix? I die one more time because I can't turn to face an opponent my poor monitor is at serious risk of being hurled through my window! LOL

I've found that clicking on the channel and changing it, (for example: from say to zone, or from zone to a guild channel,) seems to fix this one. No reloadUI needed. It seems to be triggered by setting the chat box to whisper, and then... doing... something. Which causes the chat bar to become non-responsive. But, I have no idea what.

Check you Keysettings, could it be that automove (or toggled moved, dont know how its called exaxtly) is also set on "W"?

Nope only my Move Forward is set to W. Nothing else is. This is the default setting, I haven't changed anything.

I wonder if that's related to a keyboard issue. I mean, I've had issues in the past where a key will get locked down, because of how the Razer anti-ghosting drivers work. It could be something similar.

I've been experiencing the first issue for a while now. I was actually just browsing the forums to look for help because it's slowly driving me insane. Never had the problem before it started a couple of weeks ago.

I think it mostly happens when I activate the chat box in order to make screenshots but don't actually type in it. If I then press the wrong key or use the cursor for anything else it happens. I haven't been able to reproduce the problem yet, so I can't really say what triggers it.

You might all want to check which addons you're using. It sounds to me like an outdated or broken addon could well be behind these issues. I don't use addons and have never experienced any problems with the UI. Also make sure you have the latest keyboard drivers installed, and perhaps indicate which wireless or USB keyboard you're all using in case that's a common link.

I don't think it's related to stuck keys as it happens on both my and my husband's machines. We do both, however, use G-15 keyboards.

It might be worth digging an older keyboard out of mothballs, if you've got one, and seeing if it has the same effect. I mean, my significant other and I both use Razer Blackwidows, and I haven't had issues with those, but my old Lycosa would get downright flaky at times.

Or...we could use this as an excuse to buy shiny NEW keyboards! LOL But what's weird is how the bug comes and goes and it SEEMS more prevalent on my second account than on my main one. I started up on my secondary acconut this morning just to a couple quick things and the movement bug was instantly there. Switched over to my main account and actually played for a couple hours and had no problems at all. I just don't get it.

Do both accounts have exactly the same configurations or is it possible that you have the odd key differently bound, for example? I've no idea how addons work, but if you enable/disable them separately for each account are you using exactly the same addon settings for both accounts?

The only way I can think of that the game could differentiate server-side between your accounts performance-wise would be either if your different account characters were in different areas (with some coding differences between those areas, easily tested by running characters from both accounts in the same place for testing purposes), or if there was some kind of guild UI factor behind the issues and the different account characters were in different guilds.

yes to the walking thing with holding the w key , but my walking suddenly stops , i am just holding it down i will walk forward for a bit then stop and go again without ever taking my finger of the button..... latency is always good so i dont know what stops me. maybe twigs...
