Provisioning Crafting Writ Level

I'm level 50 in clothing, woodworking, provisioning and alchemy; level 41 in blacksmithing. All of the crafting writs I get are for the max level (VR 14) material except provisioning, it is based on the level of my character. That is very convenient considering the crafting writ drop rate for Psijic Ambrosia recipe'drops more for the higher level recipe's. Does anybody know why provisioning is singled out to limit the level you can get for a writ? I can craft Vet 10 recipes but not get them for a writ. (I am Vet 8)

Thanks.

It's based on the number of skill points you've put into the passive that determines what level of item you can craft. It's also partially based on your own level, though, and whether you've completed the main story quest that sends you to Coldharbour. If you haven't completed that quest, then the maximum level of writ you'll get is the last one that can be turned in within the first 5 zones of your alliance. If you have completed that quest, then you can get writs of a level that require you to turn them in in Coldharbour. If you are at least VR1 you can get higher level writs that require you to turn them in in Craglorn.

As far as provisioning writs only ever asking for VR5 food/drinks, I think that's just because being able to craft VR10 food/drinks is a recent development and they didn't feel the need to change the writs to accommodate that.

I'm maxed out on all my skill slots and have completed all cold harbor/caldwells silver/caldwells gold. I don't understand why I can make V10+ recipes but not get the writs for those levels. All other crafting writs are V10+. This does not make any sense.

I have a funny feeling once I make V10 I will get those recipes but that is not in line with the other writs...

There are no V10 provisioning writs. None of you are locked out of completing anything. The max skill provisioning writs call for V5 food/drink and nothing more. Completing it has a chance to reward you with green/blue/purple V10 recipes, normal ingredients, epic ingredients, and very rarely a fragment towards creating psijic ambrosia.

Again, there are no max level V10 writs implemented, nobody is missing something that isn't there.
