I love making characters but find some don't look right in the real game world so drop and rebuild. None are very high level so I just experiment with classes and skills. I'm all about the journey and exploring not the battles or achieving godhood. ✭✭✭✭✭A lot for meI have 4 mains, one for each class. I have 4 mules, two of which I just decided to start leveling. On a side note, it's kind of cool to ride around on a near fully maxed horse at L8 as I have been feeding this characters horses for more than a year now.
I could use a couple more slots. I may have to retire on of my mules.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yes, I am already deciding that I am just a magic user no matter what. I am tempted to say I am a slow learner but I think the truth is more that it takes me some time to gain confidence in my ability to play. I am an old gamer who played her first real RPG just 8 years ago and ESO is my first MMO. I was hooked by Morrowind but I figured out what I was doing pretty much in a vacuum. It took me 2 years before I had the confidence to face a legendary dragon at Master in Skyrim.
One reason I have been doing different alliances was just to get a taste of each since I was only AD on the PC. I also wanted to see how quests were different depending on when I did them. I think that backfired on me though since they now scale to my level which is not always up to the challenge. I beg to differ... While playing my "main" (now VR6), I'm doing every possible quest (reading or listening to them), delve, dolmen, boss, some dungeons in duo with my brother and whatever. I have more than 100 hours in, and I still have one alliance and a half to do, so I doubt I'll hit VR14 before I have 150 hours played.
As a measure of comparaison, on my last "alt", I did hit VR14 in less than 40 hours of mundane grinding. Slower than some, as I had no experience potions, but it was okay.
Even if you were to do every quest again, you could simply skip the dialogue, and you would at least know how to play and what to do to be a bit more effective.
But yeah, a lot of characters for me, mostly to try every possible build (at least one stamina and one magicka of each class), but I have to say that I'll do every quest only once. It's fun to do them once, but otherwise, it's a complete time sink when you can easily see that another alternative, while boring, is way more effective.Edited by Pyrocyborg on August 19, 2015 12:53AM0
