Does Ring of Mara Affect Alliance Points Gained?

I recently reached Veteran 14 and I'm wondering if its necessary to still wear the Ring of Mara in Cyrodiil. Does the Ring of Mara increase Alliance Points gained, Reward Tier, and/or Cyrodiil Level?
