Recently I have seen so many threads about how someone 'Hasn't played for quite a few months and is getting wrecked in PvP or hasn't played in a while and now isn't competetive at anything.'
In my opinion I think some of these are lies. Just ways to get the point over to ZOS about champion points.
Other are also around stating how Champion Points should be removed and they are ruining the game. Making it less skill and giving you a mathmatical advantage.

And they are working on a fix. You don;t need to remind them every 10 Minutes that Champion Points are a bit broken. They do Know and they are working on a fix. So can 90% of the champion Threads just sod off for now so we can actually have some interesting and original threads back.

✭✭✭✭✭Honestly, I'll keep saying this one. The CP boogieman is an invention by players who haven't spent any time with the system. If you want to cry about getting smeared by players in full gold gear, they'll have more of a statistical advantage over players in blues than someone with 300+ CP.
But, you've got people that assume the amount of time involved in grinding CP must mean it's exceptionally powerful. No. It's a long time sink without much benefit. Spend the time to get there, and you'll realize, "well, I'm a little more powerful than I was before." But, not much.7 -

People keep forgetting the diminishing returns get -very- diminished once you get past the lowest amounts of CP gains.
Yes, a guy with 5 cp is at a severe disadvantage against a guy with 500 cp. Some time later, the same guy with now 275 cp is at much, Much, MUCH less of a disadvantage then the other guy with 770 cp.
So what if he kills you in 4.2 attacks, and you need 4.8 attacks to do him in? Once you get that close, whoever first lands the fifth blow wins, period... and that is a pure matter of skill.
And when the next 10 cp you earn give you an 5% increase, and the next 10 cp he earns give him only an 0.5% increase or less... that's when the highend cp values become much less of a boogieman.
The point about gear is well taken, but less of an issue, since people always can catch up on gear. Or at least get close enough. Still... it is worth mentioning that people wearing two full sets of full purple or gold stuff (doable if one is a dropped set including some trinkets) have an huge advantage over those who are in mismatched greens and blues...
