If I play ESO for 5 weeks and accidentally forget to turn my exp boost on, I'm hunting you down

I want a way to completely shut off EXP gain and toggle it on when I feel ready it should be gained again. As a completionist I way out level stuff much too fast.

I have to agree. It might seem counter intuitive on several levels but would be a nice option that I know I personally could get some use out of. Especially since once the changes to trophies hits. Giving serious consideration to rerolling a new character specifically for working on those achievements and if I could turn of XP gains to ensure I don't over level my window of opportunity that would be just peachy.
Beware all ye who log on for here there be typos...

I think it would be even better if the game was more intuitive about which direction you should proceed so that you can complete the quests in 'level order'. Because how many times have we gone in one direction, faced tougher enemies, leveled up... only to later end up in other zones that are WAY below you- but would have been equal to you had you gone in that direction first.

Believe it or not, as a subscriber since launch, I am seriously considering cancelling the sub because of the "too much XP" problem. I came here looking for others in my predicament.

I am mostly a solo player, and tend to be a "completionist" preferring to complete all quests, bosses, etc. in a zone before moving on. I never "grind XP", I just take what comes with quests and standard progression. I rarely do group dungeons, and do not do pledges currently.

Recently I started a new Templar. She has not yet done Daughter of Giants in the main quest line. She's done half of the Mages guild quest line, and one fifth of the Fighters guild quests.

She just completed Stormhaven at level 26. The first quest in Rivenspire is level 24. My concern is that this gap is only going to grow as I progress, particularly if I take her through the main story line and guild quests. Many quests are green by the time I get to them. Difficulty is really low, which makes the quests I'm doing for the third time even more dull.

Maybe I'll just cancel the sub and try it for a while...

You know... The less xp you get, the less xp you get, and the farther behind in the CP grind you fall. I don't really understand why someone would WANT to fall behind everyone else.

I'm in the same position. My templar has just left Rivenspire at almost level 36 which is way over the top for the next zone. I think he was level 27 when he entered Rivenspire. If I could have turned off the xp boost from ESO Plus or had some other way of scaling down the xp gain I would have done it, instead when I saw how things were going in Rivenspire I cancelled the sub.

This is primarily an issue from 1-50 so CPs don't even come into it.

Besides, a lot of players don't PvP and don't play PvE competitively. It's not about falling behind everyone else, it's about out-leveling the content.

Either get rid of the level limitations, or at the very least make this exp boost optional.

I guess you are already CP rank 3,600?

True, that is why he is worried that all noobie player will not be noobs anymore and make a slaughter feast for him in PvP imperial city.
For me my character is lvl up very slowly( veteran) and in PvP I get slaughtered like hell (I can only support my GRP by shooting a posion arrow to the enemy player or just stun them).

How about we have a toggle that cancels ALL XP gains of all sorts ?

    Yes. *** yes. This.

I only enjoy BwB PvP. I don't have to worry about getting three shotted by high weapon damage nightblades... And I have to keep making new characters just to *** enjoy the best PvP in the game.

You mean you want to be able to permanently play against new players with little experience.
