question about spell/armor resistence in conjunction with shields

I was wondering If spell/armor reistence only appplies to damage done directly to my health, or does it also apply if i have shield(s) up?

In other words, is damage done to my shields mitigated/scaled with my armor or spell resistence.

Spell-based shields do not have mitigation. They take the full damage. Physical shields do add to your spell/physical resistance and mitigation.

cool., was just trying to deide on champion point allotment on my Sorc. So, since i focus on spell shields as my primary defene then i guess spell/physical reistance wouldnt be as big of a concern.

if you want your hardened ward to give you maximum protection you will need to invest ALOT of CP into THE LORD constellation into BASTION!!!!
